Chapter 10

Missy
Going through the pictures for about 30 minutes I still found nothing, I mean nothing!
I sigh moving my fingers on my face

"Girl, you gotta be independent,
Ain't no time to be lazy, yeah yeah
Your boss callin- "
The ringtone for my boss Mr. Daniels brought me out of my thoughts, picking up my phone I sigh and slide the answer

"Hello"

"Well Good evening to you too Missy" he said

"Good evening sir, how do you do" I said

"How do you do? Ms. Donaldson you know it's been almost the deadline and you still haven't brought no proves on the table" he said sternly
I sighed for the 10th time this evening and said

"I know sir, it's just been a whole lot and you know this kinda new I mean invading in their lives and all I need a week or two please"

"I know Ms. Donaldson but if you ain't got nothing on him for a week or two we gonna come up with something else" he said

"Okay, but to be honest he's a great guy I don't think he got any dirts on him, he's really cool" I honestly said

"Great? Cool? This is really new Ms. Donaldson I hope you ain't falling in love with this man?" He said

Did I really say those? I hope it's not obvious, I sigh and quickly reply

"No sir, I'm just being honest"

"Okay think about what I said, have a good night"
He said hanging up before I could even say anything

I needed to find something soon else I would fail myself and my boss for the first time because of love!
Shaking my head and thinking out loud

A smile creeped on my face when I remembered the room Mama H told me about. Dickson's late wife's home and I know no one had to go there but hey I might get great evidence in that room

I tapped my pen on my desk, I turned off my lamp and got in bed
Soon as I closed my eyes my phone rang
I smiled like a school girl when I saw who the caller was

"Hello Dickson"

"Hello beautiful, how's your evening coming up?" He asked
I smiled forgetting what my boss said to me not too long ago

"Good, yours?" I asked

"Good too"
He cleared his throat and continued "I just want to remind you on our date tomorrow"

"Okay, why though? Anything special?" I asked

"You are the special one here"
I smiled when he said that. "But i would tell you about it on our date and oh you don't have to come to work tomorrow.

Being confused as the alphabet Q I asked " how about Isabella my little princess? "

He laughed and said "don't worry she going to spend the week and weekend with Mama H"

"Week? Weekend? And where would you be please? I curiously asked

" you mean we? Ha"

"We?" I asked

"Yes ma, I can't tell you everything on the phone would tell you tomorrow evening on our date" he said

"Okay"

"Now tell me your address so I let Joey pick you (Joey is Dickson's driver or should I say chauffeur?)
Should I give him my address? What if he finds out who I really am?

Fighting on whether I should say my address or not I finally spoke
" oh, that won't be necessary just tell me the restaurant and I would be there on time"

"Mmmph? If you say so"
He said the restaurant which I'm familiar with because I go there often

"Okay Goodnight beautiful" he said

"Night sir" I teased knowing he didn't like being referred to as "sir or boss"

"Mmmph bye"
I laughed and said bye too

I got few texts from friends and family. I replied Ella's and Matt's texts in our group chat

Ella b- Missy girl call or text me I miss your single self
I rolled my eyes and replied

Missybae- Girl whatever I miss your fast ass too😋😋, where is Matt's bighead at?

Mr Matthew - Missy you know my head ain't big as yours? I'm on a date and I'm replying to your dumb ass bye tsww

Missybae- Boy bye, and El let's spend this weekend together, I miss you fr 😩
Good night, love you both.

I put my phone on flight mode and got comfy in my bed
Soon I was off like light.
