She was regarded as a piece of shit, a scum
If only they knew __

She was called a dog, among other names
If only they knew__

She was defined in terms of her origin
If only they knew __

She was not a person to be reckoned with
If only they knew __

Their words hit her like brimstones;
Stung like the sting of bees,
Hurt like the flames from an inferno,
In her heart she cried...
If only they knew __

Behold! The pleasure they derived in jeering at her,
Delighted they were in making up bad deeds of her, yet
If only they knew __

Who can wash away this stigma?
Who will bear this burden and take away my reproach?
She beckons to God who seemed far away...
If__just if only they knew what lay behind that stigmatised face.
