"How was school today sis?" Crystal asked when Naila got into the car.

Even though Naila was angry and hurt by what was done with her cane, she couldn't let her sister know. Janet managed to get the marker off but it was still visible if you looked closely. If her sister found out her sister would want to fight and she couldn't have her sister go to jail for fighting a teen.

"It was fine," she mumbled.

"Rough day I see. Did anyone bully you?"

Naila cringed at the word thinking about her two main bullies Brittany and Sasha. Now adding to her bully list the new one Janie.

"N-no Crys nobody bullied me today. I'm just tired that's all," Naila lied.

"Well you can't sleep because grandma and grandpa are coming over," Crystal stated.

That put a smile on Naila's face as her grandmother and grandfather always made her happy. Even on her worst days they could make her happy.

"Are they staying for the weekend?" Naila turned to Crystal's direction now.

"Unfortunately they can't because they are going on a cruise to Dubai," she replied. She turned to Naila and noticed her demeanor changed. "They will be back in two weeks though Nai," she reassured.

"I want to go to Dubai...I just want to get away," Naila sighed.

"Well baby sis, we have a weekend ahead of us," Crystal smiled enthusiastically to herself.

"Where to?"

"I am not going to tell you because it is a surprise!"

"You know I don't like surprises," Naila said dully.

"I know you don't like surprises but you'll like this one sis," Crystal reassured.

It suddenly became very silent so Crystal decided to turn on the radio. 'Survivor' by Destiny's Child blasted through the speakers and that instantly put a smile on Naila's face.

That song meant a lot to her because she had survived a severe car accident. Also as many times she wanted to give up since she was blind, she had yet to do it.

"Turn it up more," Naila instructed.

As the radio was being turned up, Naila rolled her window down and let the warm breeze capture her.

"I'm a survivor I will not give up I will not stop I'm gon' work harder!" She sang yelling out of the window.

Crystal looked over at her sister and smiled as the sight warmed her heart. To see her sister enjoying life even in her condition meant the world to her.

They had finally arrived to their home and Crystal helped Naila inside.

"I'm going to bring you a snack," Crystal said, then left the room.

Naila walked to her radio and began playing music. That was the one thing that truly made Naila happy, music. If it weren't for music and her sister she'd want to throw in the towel.

Crystal walked into Naila's room with a bowl of fruit and a turkey sandwich.

"Knock knock I've come with your snack Nai," Crystal announced placing the food on her desk.

"I would like to eat it outside Crys," Naila spoke.

"Okay we can arrange that."

Crystal took a mini table and comfortable chair outside on their lawn for Naila. Then she put Naila's food on the table along with her radio. After she went to help Naila her comfortable outside.
