-This chapter starts on New years after Harry and Felicity's kiss in Time Square-

Felicity had been over the moon. Lately she had been wondering what it would be like to have Harry's lips on hers. She hadn't been disappointed, to say the least.

Warnings were shooting throughout her mind as soon as they parted. She decided she would ignore them, just for the night. She knew she was setting herself up for heartbreak, however there was a part of her that longed for him. It had been a very long time since she had allowed herself to have any feelings for another guy. After Mark had screwed her over, she closed herself off to those feelings entirely. She refused to let someone hurt her like that ever again.

Harry had been a true gentleman, after they kissed he gave her a shy smile. He placed a loving kiss upon her forehead, and then wrapped her into his warm arms. He smelled heavenly, and she felt safe and secure in his loving embrace. She melted into him and prayed that the moment would never end.

Neither one knew what to say so they simply enjoyed the comfortable silence. Harry was the first to speak.

"Would you like to go for a walk?"

Not trusting her voice, Felicity simply nodded. Grabbing her by the hand, he intertwined their fingers together. Silently, they headed away from the crowds. Harry took her to a small park that was all but abandoned. They both took a set in a swing.

"You've got to tell me what you're thinking!" Harry exclaimed, finally. "It's driving me crazy."

She gave him a shy smile, before turning her gaze towards the sky.

"I was just thinking about how beautiful it is tonight."

"You know that's not what I meant," Harry chuckled.

They were both swinging back and forth, absentmindedly. Smiling at the ground, she giggled.

"I know it's not, however let's not talk about that tonight okay? Let's just enjoy this moment and this perfect night." She told him sincerely.

Staring into her chestnut brown eyes, he thought over her words. It wasn't what he was expecting, nor was it the answer he had hoped for, however he decided that he would honor her wishes. He did not know what tomorrow would bring for the two of them. He knew he would treasure every single second of this magical night with this beautiful girl.

..............

They spent the next few hours talking about everything. They had both felt like they could actually be themselves around each other. It was both refreshing and nerve-wrecking at the same time. They laughed carelessly, as they talked the night away.

Felicity's wall has almost been torn down completely, in that one night. Almost. There were still secrets that she refused to let him in on. Secrets that even her best friend Jenna wasn't aware off. This made her feel all the more guilty.

Harry had been telling her his entire life's story. He had not left out a single embarrassing detail. She knew of his family and every girl hes ever dated. He shared with her many crazy stories of his life on the road. She felt like she knew every single detail about his life.

However, she wasn't sure what to tell him when he had asked about her life. The part of her life that she was willing to share was quite boring. She was quite reserved. She rather enjoy a night in with a few close friends than going out and partying.

She froze completely, when he asked about her childhood. Her childhood wasn't exactly a happy one. She had never talked about it to anyone. It was something she tried to keep buried deep inside of her. Her silence lingered, as she tried to think of what to say.

He could sense her uneasiness about the topic. "You don't have to talk about it, petal." He assured her.

It took her a moment to answer. Unbeknownst to him, she was fighting back tears. This always happened, whenever she allowed herself to think back on the past. She quickly gathered herself and laughed awkwardly.

"It's not a very good story. I'd rather talk about something else, if you don't mind." She told him softly.

"That's quite alright, love." He told her with a bright smile.

The silence lingered only briefly, when Felicity's phone started to ring. Confused, she took it from her pocket. Harry noticed her expression drop instantly, and she turned pale.

"Is everything alright?" He asked worried.

Quickly hitting the end button, she snapped out of it. "Perfect." She told him with a smile.

Harry had found the situation rather odd, but he decided to let it go. She seemed to notice the time for the first time.

"Wow! It's already 3:45 a.m. I should probably be getting home. I've got work tomorrow."

Although he hated for the night to end, he agreed. He drove her to her place in silence. Once he put his car in park in front of her building, he looked around. He frowned, as he took in the neighborhood.

He had never seen a neighborhood like this up close before. To say it was the bad part of town was an understatement. He could hear sirens going off everywhere, and he even seen a cop chasing a man down the street. Harry was perplexed. He hated knowing that this was where Felicity lived. He wanted to know that she was safe, and he would never consider her safe in a place like this.

He kept his thoughts to himself. He knew he would be overstepping, if he were to tell her what he was thinking.

Harry walked her to her door, still paranoid of his surroundings. He pushed her hair out of her face, and leaned down. He kissed her for the second time that night. This kiss was just as amazing as the first, and neither one of them wanted to pull away.

"I had a wonderful time with you tonight," he whispered. "Can I see you tomorrow?"

Hesitantly, she nodded her head. He gave her one final peak on the lips, and then he turned away. She watched him walk away only briefly, before opening her door and going inside. She quickly locked the door behind her. She had barely gotten the chance to change clothes, when her phone began to sound once more.

Taking in a deep breath, she looked at the screen. The word "Thomas" was screaming at her, along with a picture of her and her beloved brother. There was only one reason he would be calling her this late at night.

Holding her breath, she answered. "Hello?"

"Felicity.." He spoke softly. "You need to come home.. It's mom."
