Three

I got out of my car and walked towards the water front, letting my feet sink into the wet sand as the water came rushing up around my ankels. I sighed and closed my eyes, letting the midday sun hit my skin, I was sure that I would get sunburnt standing here but to be honest I didn't care. My thoughts kept wondering around as if they were race horses and all because Luca was back and I couldn't keep the butterfly feeling out of my stomache.

You would think that after not seeing someone for two years, you would stop loving them but that was far from true. Luca Dimitry, my first ever crush and the only guy that actually held my heart and then he left and I was crushed. I even went through a bloody rebellion stage and my mother had to pull me back, I just couldn't not be in love with Luca and to be honest I really thought that he would be the end of me.

"A little chilly isn't it?" A voice called out and I turned away from the water.

It was a guy, a very hot and shirtless guy, holding a surfboard and waterbottle.

"Uh, not really" I respond and the guy comes up to me.

"I've seen you here before" The guy states and I raise my eyebrow and he chuckles.

"You seem to always be here in the afternoons and not to mention at my beach parties" He adds and I smile.

"Those were your beach parties" I ask and he shakes his head smiling.

"yes they were and here I thought you knew the host" He laughs again and I join him.

"Sorry about that" I say and he looks at me.

"Nothing to be sorry about, I don't mind a beautiful girl enjoying the moonlight and good campfire" he says and I look away, I could feel a blish crepping up my cheeks.

"I'm Toby Louis by the way" The boy holds out his hand.

"I'm Amirah Anson" I say and shake his hand.

"Holy shit, your like Taylah's enemy" Toby states and I take a stap back.

Toby looks at me confused and then as if realisation hit him his eyes go wide.

"Sorry, I'm Taylah's past step brother I guess" He says and stratches the back of his head.

"What do you mean past?" I question and Toby sighs.

"My father married Taylah's mother and well then they got a divorce, so we arn't related anymore" Toby explains and I look at him

"Taylah tells me everything" Toby adds and I let out a small "oh".

We both go silent and look towards the water, I sigh and turn to walk away.

"Hey will I see you again?" Toby asked and I looked at him.

"It's a small town Toby, I'm sure we will" I state with a smile and head back to my car.

"I look forward to it Amiah Anson" Toby yells and I laugh.

Getting into my car and pulling out I head back into towan and pull into the carpark outside the supermarket. Getting out I run into my mother and Mrs Dimitry.

"Well this better be good" My mum says and I give her an innocent smile.

"Well mother you see.." I try to come up with an excuse but luckily enough Luca comes up right behind me.

"I convinced her to ditch with me" Luca says and I turn to him.

"Well why did you do that" Luca's mother asked and he smiled.

"Mum we haven't been here for two years, I wanted to see what is new and to catch up" Luca explains and nudges me in the waist.

"Yep that's it" I reply and my mum looks at me, she is not convinced.

"Well okay then, just go to school tomorrow at least" My mum says and walks away with Luca's mum.

I turn to Luca and he smiles at me.

"so where did you go?" Luca questions and I frown.

"To the beach" I reply and walk into the supermarket.

"ahhh, our old spot" Luca drawns out the ahh.

"Actually it's my spot now" I state and walk down towards the chocolate and snacks part.

Luca stands beside me as I pick what to get and he sighs, I look up aat him and he gives me a sad smile.

"Amirah, can we please talk?" Luca says and I looked down, Luca has never called me by my real name, not since we were younger anyway.

"What is there to talk about?" I ask and look back at him.

"A lot of things, like how i've missed you and as to why I left" He mummbles and I turn to him, giving him my full attention.

"Tell me this one thing" I say and he nods his head.

"Was it your idea to leave?" I question and Luca stays silent for a moment before he finally says.

"Yes, it was" 

I pick out a bag of Reeces Pieces and a bag of popcorn and turn back to him.

"Then there is nothing to talk about" I mumble and walk towards the checkout, leaving Luca standing there like a fool.
