Today was the day that your workplace would be celebrating its success of over 5 years. A giddy feeling left your heart racing as you dashed out of the door, forgetting part of your lunch on the table. You were thirty minutes off schedule - not a great way to start your morning. Of course your phone didn't go off, for it had been carelessly left at work for you were in a rush.

At least you had the essentials, the party food, and several decorations you volunteered to get for the party. It was a surprise for your boss, for they hardly had a break to acknowledge that the day was over, still typing furiously into the keyboard while everyone left. Huffing when you were satisfied that you were absolutely SURE you didn't forget anything, you drove off to work in a hurry.

Dashing into the building, several bags digging into your right hand, you excused yourself to find the host off this madness, your coworker, Naple. His eyes spotted your frantic frenzy of a mess of an entrance and took a few of the bags from you.

"Have a good sleep?" He joked, passing you an envelope. How your blood boiled as you saw your phone waved in the air, just out of reach.

"Quite the contrary!" You exclaimed, catching your breath from the half dash here, and made an attempt to grab your phone from Naple's hand, but of course you were too short for his basketball height.

"Must have been!" Naple waved it for another moment before finally giving it to you when you huffed out, signalling your defeat.

"Thanks," You muttered. "How late am I?"

"Only 5 minutes," Naple whispered, now that he noticed he was causing a scene. "but boss was too busy to notice, as always." You sighed in relief.

"Ok," You stuffed you phone into your pocket. "I'm getting to work, see you later." With that you walked to your work area, and took out your phone. You eyed your coworker nextdoor, and the two of you nodded knowingly, before concentrating at your task at hand.

The thing about your boss. Well, they weren't like others you'd read about on the internet, with an attitude screaming entitled prick. No, your boss was actually pretty chill, and probably the only reason this party would actually work.

It wasn't too long, for you had zoned out into a work state, never removing your thoughts from the work before you. Before you knew it, you felt a tap on your shoulder, and you looked up abruptly, not noticing the intruder's entrance. Seeing as it was your friend, you followed Naple to the party room, and chose your hiding spot, before the lights flickered off.

It wasn't a creative spot, hiding behind the counter with a few of your other coworkers, but eventually the lights flicked on. The decorations were all in place, your heart thrummed in your ears as you and multiple others emerged from the shadows of their spot. There was no surprise factor, but seeing everyone rise certainly gave your boss a noticeable jolt. The surprised expression melted into a joyful smile, and everyone laughed at how childish the party seemed.

In the corner of the room, you noticed boxes.. Boxes upon boxes wrapped in shiny paper and tied with a bow. Food was laid out on the counters, and you seemed to have forgotten about your lunch still sitting on your table until now, your stomach gurgling as it sensed the presence of food. It pained you to hold yourself back from diving into the snacks and drinks kept fresh.

After the party, which you found to be not all too entertaining, you decided to grab your things and leave. Of course, you heard your boss call your name before you exit, so you went to the sound of your boss's voice instead. You sneak in a grape on the way and swallow it down just in time.

"Before you go," Your boss whispered. "Don't forget your box."

"Oh, of course!" You exclaim. "Thank you for reminding me, and, thanks again.." You were handed the box wrapped with paper, and you locate a Cyberlife logo in the corner. Your eyes widened, but when you looked for them, they were gone. Holding the box just a bit tighter, you leave- after checking you had everything, of course-, and drove home.

Slamming your door shut behind you, you took the intriguing gift to the dining table, and carefully removed the paper, being sure not to ruin it. Your eyes catch a small face surrounded by plastic and held down by restraints. You removed the plastic and restraints, and in your hands, was one of the miniature Androids.

It was a male Android with gelled back hair, one strand of hair loose from the rest. He was in uniform, his model number printed nearly onto the jacket, and he was about 6 inches tall. You couldn't help but stare in awe as he came to life, his eyes opening to reveal the brown irises that were hidden beneath.
