At a bit over 12 weeks I am starting to show signs that I am in fact pregnant. I've stolen Toms shoes as mine are too small. And I wear my sweats most of the time, and it is started to become autumn.

Tonight we having a get together of both of our families to tell them the news. Tom cleaned the house and I cook dinner.

At 4:00 sharp the doorbell rings and Tom answers it, letting his family in. They sit in the front room as I finish up dinner. And five minutes later my parents show up.

"Love, everyone is here. Are you finished?" Tom asks walking into the kitchen.

"I just need to put it on the table after I cut the meat off the bones and separate the light meat from the dark meat." I say pushing my hair back.

"Let's just cut it into slices. Would that work?" Tom suggests.

"I guess. I'm just so used to having it separated and pulled of the bone. But change is good." I smile placing my hands on my slightly grown belly.

"This is the best change." Tom says pecking my lips and resting his hands on my stomach also. We then put the food on the table and eat.

When dinner is almost done, Tom gets everyone's attention. His eyes shining brightly at the fact that he is going to share the secret he's kept for five weeks.

"Well you guys must be wondering why we invited you over for dinner." Tom starts. His hands slightly sweaty in my grip. I rub my thumb over the back of his hand and he looks at me and smiles.

"Yeah it's unusual for you two." Nikki, Toms mother speaks up.

"We have a good reason." I say looking at Tom and laughing.

"Why don't you tell us?" My father says looking serious.

"We say it together on the count of three." Tom quietly says to me and I nod. He counts on his fingers.

"We're expecting!" We say together and grin. The first few seconds the seven guests look confused at what was said, but one by one over at least fifteen seconds, which felt more like fifteen minutes, they realize what was said.

"Congratulations!" My mother squeals pulling me into a hug.

"Really?" Paddy asks with a confused smile.

"Yeah. Really really." Tom says proudly. Already a proud dad, it's really attractive on him.

We spend the rest of the night talking about the child that is coming into the world in early May.
