Minutes turned into hours of silence. Then at last I heard the click of a lock. Suddenly there was a flood of light as the trunk opened. “Get out,” said a deep voice. I did as I was told and got escorted into a window less room. When I looked inside I saw the same man I was trying to rob standing there. “Why did you try to steal my wallet?” He questioned me. “You see, I don’t have any money and I am just so desperate that I will do anything for money.” I reply. The posh man suddenly gets a gleam in his eye and declares. “I will give you money but you will have to do something for me. Just one little job.” He exclaimed. “I need you to kill some one for me.”
I was appealed. This man in front of me was asking me to murder another human being. “Is this a joke?” I say in a trembling voice. “No. And if you refuse I’ll kill you. You said you needed money so I will give you two thousand dollars.” With that I knew he had me. He handed me a picture. “This is your guy.” He told me. I had no other option I had to say yes. “Great. So we have a deal. Let me tell you the details.”
It was the peek of the night. The stars shone like a blanket of diamonds in the darkness. I was out on a mission. I ran down deserted streets and dark narrow alleyways. I past Hyde Park and into Brook St. The only singe of life was a rat scurrying across the pavement. It was then I saw my target. A man leaning against a solid brick wall. Quietly I slipped out my Walther P38 which was concealed in my jacket and took aim at my target. I pulled the trigger and fired. The man was dead.
