A fatal flaw is something that everyone has, but the question is: what is the fatal flaw of Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus?

We all know that Thalia hasn't ever truly forgiven her mother for what happened with Jason all those years ago. This may lead many people to believe that Thalia has the same fatal flaw as her cousin, Nico di Angelo, son of Hades: the fatal flaw of holding grudges.

This assumption, however, would be incorrect. Thalia's fatal flaw actually seems to be ambition, or a desire for power even if it isn't needed, which is rather understandable given who her father is. Like Athena said, the most dangerous flaws are those that are good in moderation.

Ambition isn't a bad thing; it can force you to improve yourself or work harder to achieve power or whatever it is that you desire. However, if you have too much, you could make horrible decisions in order to gain the power that you seek.

Thalia nearly did just this when she almost joined Kronos's army in order to gain power in "The Titan's Curse". Even though she may not have deserved to become Artemis's lieutenant since she wasn't even a huntress yet, Thalia was offered the position during the winter solstice in "The Titan's Curse". Thalia then takes Artemis's offer and becomes the new lieutenant of Artemis.

Now we don't know if it was because of the potential power she could gain, Zöe's death, or the fact that she didn't want the prophecy to be about her, but Thalia did take the position, and now she fights alongside her sisters, as she will until the day she dies.
