SCARLET'S POV
(when they get home from the restaurant)
" sweetie go to your room I will be up there to put you in bed in a few minutes lilybear, " I say
" ok mommy," she says with a cute little smile
I sit down at the kitchen table and think about what happened tonight and wonder why Alex looked hurt and didn't have hatred in his eyes but it doesn't matter all I am worried about is if my father told them about Lauren and I have a feeling he did and that makes me very disappointed because I trusted him but I guess he couldn't really lie when they saw her for themselves
as I walk up the stairs to put Lauren to sleep I wipe the silent tears that slipped down my face without me knowing after wiping them I open her door to see her trying to read which she really likes to read even know she can't read everything yet when she gets stuck I always help her pronounce the word correctly and I read to her every night because likes to her romantic stories and if I forget to read at night she gets upset and then I have to read two the next night because I forget
" hi honey ready for me to read to you, " I say looking at my sweet baby
" yes mommy it is really good so far but I am having problems pronouncing some of the words but this story is really romantic and I really like it can I keep it," she asks and she looks so cute
" Sure sweetie," I say
" honey have I read Romeo and Juliet to you before "
"I don't think so mommy but what is that story about," she asks with curiosity and looks excited
" well the story of Romeo and Juliet is a love story but they aren't allowed to be together so they have to see each other in secret, " I say and when I finish she looks so interested and excited
" Mommy can you read that to me, " she asks with a bright and hopeful smile
"I am sorry honey not tonight because I already picked the book we are reading tonight," I say with a sad smile
" ok mommy but can you read it too me soon mommy I really want to know how the story goes," she says with a disappointed smile
" of course honey, " I say with a bright smile
" oh and mommy, before you start reading, can I ask you who got you the Romeo and Juliet book because it looks really cool I saw it in your room a few times," she asks and I gave her a sad smile
" your father did because it is my favorite book," I say and she made an o shape with her mouth with understanding
" Oh mommy I am sorry for asking, " she says
" Don't worry honey it isn't your fault it is mine for never telling you but I just couldn't I also couldn't throw out the book because it is my favorite and it has so many memories and emotions with it?" I say with a sad smile
"I love you, mommy," she said because she saw my sad face
"I love you to lillybear, " I said with a smile
" ok honey do you want me to read now," I say
" yes please mommy what are you going to read to me tonight"
"I am going to read to you WUTHERING HEIGHTS, " I say
" yay I really like that book to I love HEATHCLIFF and CATHERINE, " she says jumping up and down
after she says that we both giggle and she sits back down and gets under the covers and gets comfortable before I start the story
once I get a few chapters in she is almost asleep I close the book quietly and bring the covers up to her shoulders and then turn the light off and kiss her head goodnight and leave her room to go downstairs to clean a little before I go to bed
when I finish cleaning I head upstairs and get changed into PJs which are light blue booty shorts and a light blue tank when I am done changing into my PJs I look at the clock and realize it isn't that late it is 8:08 and I realize that Lauren must have been really tired since she already went to bed because I usually have to read a lot more chapters of a book before she is asleep usually
all of a sudden I heard a knock at the front door I was surprised because I wasn't expecting anybody unless it is Ashley and Jackson wanting to check on from the night that just happened so I walk downstairs and open the door expecting to see Ashley and Jackson but I see
END OF THE CHAPTER SORRY IT WAS REALLY SHORT BUT MY SISTER DELETED THIS CHAPTER AND I HAD TO WRITE IT AGAIN BECAUSE IT DIDN'T SAVE SO SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG
oh and sorry LencieWhite I couldn't put the cake in because I couldn't figure out what to put to add the cake in the story SORRY
