Anxiety
Heart pounding
Blood rushing through my veins
Sweat pours down my head, making my hair matt against my forehead
That small yet hellish voice speaks,
Drowning out everything but the rapid beating of my heart
It's louder than any alarm or siren
It emphasizes the frenzy of thoughts swirling through my mind
My vision begins to haze
My breathing begins to speed up
Walls closing in at an agonizingly painful pace
This process repeats on a seemingly endless loop
This exhausting handicap
Anxiety
