LUKES POV.

Here we lay in perfect silence, on Michael's bed may I add ;). I didn't want to ruin this perfect moment but there's a question eating me from the inside to the out. Who hurt Michael? Was it himself? Someone from school? His mom? I would like to not find out it was his mum, and I would be terribly wrong, but you never know, I just want Michael to be safe. And Michael had told me it wasn't himself who caused blood to drip out from his skin, maybe he was just lying to me? Maybe not. Does he not trust me to tell me? I told him he could trust me. Maybe he thinks I was telling a lie.

"Do you trust me?" I blurted and looked up to Michael.

Michael turned his gaze away from me looking to the wall behind me. "Yes."

From his one word answer I could tell he didn't want this to go into a conversation, but I need to know if he trusts me enough to tell me what's wrong.

"Why won't you tell me?" I questioned, moving off Michael and crossing my legs facing him. But only to have Michael's head turned away, me only seeing the back of light green hair.

Michael instead didn't answer as if I didn't even ask. "You d-don't trust me?" I stuttered.

Michael still didn't reply, completely ignoring me as if i'd just gone away, not here. He doesn't trust me, he didn't reply so i'm guessing that's a no. A hurt feeling hit me in my chest, were my hearts supposed to be. I can feel tears forming in my eyes, threatening to spill out. I bit on my lip to keep them hidden.

Michael slowly turned his head to face me, as if he was scared to see me. Once him seeing my hurt expression he came closer to me crossing his legs in front of me, his hand cupped my cheek his thumb smoothly brushing it. "I do trust you Lukey."

"Then why won't you tell me?" I asked for the second time.

A few minutes before Michael sighed saying "You promise you won't tell anyone?"

I told him he could trust me. "I promise, I told you, you can trust me."

We both were silent for a minute the only sound was our breathing. "My mum." Michael's eye's formed tears.

I pulled him into a hug, he didn't hesitate before hugging me back griping to the sides of my shirt. His head buried into my neck, covering it with tears didn't mind me right now. It was his mum, how could she do that to her own son. I have no idea how she see's bad in him, Michael's amazing.

"It'll get better Mikey." I comforted.

"No it won't."

"After rain there's always a rainbow." I smiled even though he couldn't see.

"It's been six years."

I bit my lip before a gasp would escape my lips. Six long years. "After a storm there got to be two rainbows." I chuckled as did Michael.

He pulled away saying  "Thank you."

"For what?" I asked confused.

"For being here for me." Michael replied. I felt my heart smile.

"I always be here for you Mikey."

"Thank you too by the way." I added.

"For what?" Michael asked confused maybe even more.

"For trusting me."

"I've always trusted you Lukey." Michael smiled as did I.

It was silent almost as my thoughts began to fill it. This won't happen to Mikey ever again, I won't let it happen. I will not let anyone hurt Michael ever again, that's an oath. But once I leave Michael will be here with his mom, all by him self, alone.

Before I could stop myself I asked "Do you wanna stay over at mine for the night?"

"Are you sure?" Michael questioned.

"Yeah, yeah it's fine."

After a few minutes of Michael thinking whether to accept my offer or not he finally replied "Okay sure."

And with that Michael picked up a few things from his room to take to mine and we were off to my house. When we went downstairs Michael and I were both surprised to see his mum wasn't here, since we never heard anyone leave and we expected to have to sneak past. But Michael just shurged it off saying 'She probably just went out to drink and get higher than she already is.' I didn't want to question that since the whole thing happened earlier I decided not to push it.
