Save me
From the clutches of life
And the wizened cedar tree
And my disappointed face.
Save me
From my negative thoughts
And those more handsome than he
And my insecure nature.
Save me
From society's cruel grip
And promises to "just be"
And thoughts of the near future.
Save me
From my hidden demons
And my heart, turned so icy
And weights attached to my wrists.
Save me,
For I cannot save myself.
Save me,
For my demons are far from languished,
And their power grows by the minute.
Save me,
For I am shrouded in darkness,
And I have nowhere to turn,
And the world is finally getting to me.
Save me,
Before death does.
