The bright peach tree sways,
playfully swaying in the soft breeze.
She brings happiness and smiles,
cheerful as can be.
The dark tall oak stays,
silently stiff in the soft breeze,
He brings quiet and nervous thoughts,
mysterious as can be.
Ever so different, ever so opposite,
She feels she can fill
the hole in his empty, sad, heart,
He feels so very nervous and unsure.
She's cheerful and sweet,
he's mysterious and careless,
He wants to stay friends
until the right time,
She wants more.
She asks and questions,
He answers and gives,
She rethinks her thoughts,
gaining courage.
He loves her dearly, but wants to wait.
They fight and argue,
cry and run,
But in the end,
They love each other, forever friends.
