Complications (Niall)

Niall was pregnant.  He was still in his first trimester and he was doing great. He was working just a small amount and Liam was caring a lot about him. It was a nice saturday afternoon and Niall sat in his sons room, playing cars with him while Liam was out at a work.

They already had two sons. Their 4 years old son Bear and their 14 years old son Ian, who was currently at a friends house.

Child number three wasn't planned but apparently Niall had stopped taking birth control because it was messing with his hormones a lot and something went wrong with the condome. They love the baby anyway.

So Niall was playing with his little son as out of the blue a sharp stabbing pain hit him on his lower abdomen. Niall groaned and placed his hand on his stomach just as it happened again. "Daddy?" Bear looked up from his toy. Nialls fell to the side as the pain continued shooting through his stomach. "Daddy!"  Bear yelled.

Niall took his phone shakily out of the pocket and handed it to his little son "Remember when we talked about how to call Daddy? Do it and tell him something is wrong with the baby.." Niall started sweating and his vision got blurry. Bear looked at Niall terrified, but he did what he told him.

He looked at the phone and pushed the home botton a few seconds "Siri call Liam" he said in his little voice. Liam picked up immediately "Hello Babe" Bear stared at the phone and turned the speaker on "Papa its me. Daddy told me call you. Something wrong with baby."

Liams heart stopped for second "What do you mean baby? Where is he? Can I talk to him?" Liam asked, grabbing his stuff, ready to leave his office. Nialls heard Liams voice through the phone but it seemed distant. He tried stay awake but the pain took over and slowly started closing his eyes.  "No. Daddy is going to sleep now Papa." Bear told him and frowned.  "Alright Monkey. Tell me what happend before Daddy went to sleep." Liam said as he rushed out of his office room. Bear explained what he saw "Papa. Daddy is having an accident.. But its red.." Bear told him as he saw a red spot on Nialls grey sweatpants. Liams stomach flipped.

No. No. No. 

Liam covered his mic and yelled at on of his assistant "Call an ambulance to my house and tell them my husband is about to lose his baby!" He then ran out of his office. Niall opened his eyes slowly, he felt dizzy and he felt something between his legs. "Papa. Daddy is awake." Bear said.

"Niall? Love?  Can you hear me?" Liam asked as he drove home and heard a faint "Yeah..". Liams heart was racing. "I will be there in 10 minutes.  Ambulance is on their way." Niall heard it but darkness over took him again. "Niall? Hello? Bear?"  Liam panicked even more. "Daddy is going back to sleep" Bear told him.

Liam soon arrived and rushed into the room as he hung up and put his phone into his pocket. He saw Niall laying on his side, clutching his stomach. Then Liam spotted what Bear had told him. A blood stain on Nialls pants.  While checking on Niall Liam called his best friend who lived a block away to pick up Bear.

Everything went pretty quick. Liams friend came to pick Bear up and Liam drove in the ambulance with Niall to the hospital.

In the hospital Liam had to wait in the waitingroom while Niall got checked. Liam was walking up and down. After an hour a nurse went up to Liam "Mr. Payne? Your husband is asking for you." Liam nodded and follwed the doctor into the room.

Niall was laying down, he was awake but he looked weak, his hand resting on his stomach.  A doctor was sitting on a chair. "Whats is going on?"  Liam asked and the doctor looked with a serious face at Liam. "I was just about to tell that. Its better if you sit down." Liam gulped.

No. No. No.

Liam sat down and held Nialls hand. The doctor looked at them. "I'm really sorry. He had a miscarriage and lost the baby. My condolences."

Liam and Niall stared at each other and their world shattered into pieces.
