Giving Birth (Niall)

Niall had a really hard pregnancy already. He was just 28 weeks along but they already had over 4 emergency hospital visits.
At 12 weeks Niall nearly lost his baby due to an accident on the street.
At 17 weeks Niall has lost his appetite and could barely keep any food down.
At 21 weeks Niall kept having fever flashes.
At 26 weeks Niall had such bad back pain that he couldn't even move from his bed.
Niall was just standing in the kitchen with his 7, nearly 8 months baby bump. Liam has stopped working as soon as Niall had nearly lost their baby and since then he was really worried about his husband.

Niall was just about to reach up for a glass in the cabin as he felt his tummy tensing up painful. "Liam" Niall whimpered out before he dropped to the floor. Liam just grabbed Niall's arm so he didn't hit the floor on full speed. "It's okay baby. It's okay." Liam comforted him as Niall laid on the floor, clutching his tummy and whimpering in pain.

After around 20 seconds Niall relaxed, took deep breaths and rubbed his baby bump "Those are contractions.." They both looked at each other in shock. They knew their baby would be premature but not that much. "Alright. Stay here. Don't move." Liam said as he grabbed their hospital bag. He threw it in the car and came back to Niall.

He gently helped him up and took him to the car. On the way to the hospital Niall had his second contraction and whimpered quietly as he held his bump. Liam put his hand on Niall's knee and squeezed it "Deep breaths sweetie"

Once the contraction passed Niall just sat in the car and looked out of the window. Liam glanced over to him every once in a while to make sure he was okay, seeing the fearful look in Niall's eyes "The baby will be fine Sweetie. Everything is okay."

They arrived eventually and Liam parked the car. He swung their bag over his shoulder and helped Niall out of the car. "Liam..." Niall was shaky on his legs. "It's okay baby" Liam supported him as they walked into the hospital.

"My husband is 28 weeks pregnant and he is having contractions." Liam said and one of the ladies at the front desk nodded and called for a doctor and a wheelchair. Niall whimpered and his knees buckled as the next contraction shot through his stomach. Liam grabbed him so he couldn't collapse "You are doing great Baby.."

A doctor came immediately, followed by a nurse with a wheelchair. Niall sat down in the wheelchair as the contraction passed. They brought him into a room where he laid down on a bed.

The doctor started asking questions:

"How far along is he?" - "28 weeks"
"How many contractions until now?" - "3"
"How long did they last?" - "15-25 seconds"
"In which interval did they come?" - "15 minutes"
"Did his water break yet?" - "No"

Liam has answered all of the basic questions while he was running his hand through Niall's hair. The pregnant man was laying on his side with his eyes closed. "So Niall. How are feeling right now?" The doctor asked but Niall didn't answer. The man just started tensing up and groaning. His legs shaking slightly. Liam helped him cope with the contraction and doctor wrote down the time and duration.

"Not good.." Niall mumbled as the contraction passed but he kept his eyes closed. "Sick.. really sick.. in pain.. my legs are slightly numb.. thirsty.." Liam worried a lot and he could tell by the face that doctor was making that it wasn't good. The doctor shook his head slightly "Alright I'll check on you okay? You shouldn't feel like that in between the contractions. How are the contractions feeling?" The doctor asked as he handed Liam a bag and some water for Niall.

Niall shook his head slowly  "bad.. really bad..". The doctor just nodded and examined Niall. Checked his temperature, heartbeat, blood pressure, eyes, reflexes and literally everything. They had to take a break in between because Niall had a contraction. "He looks fine. Just a low blood pressure but we can work on that after I checked the baby." Liam nodded as he held the water with a straw over to Niall who slowly took a few sips.
