TJ POV
"Hey Jonah, that talent show thing you were asking me about?" I said to Jonah as I was heading into the boys locker room. "Do you want to do it?" Jonah asked excitedly. "Actually... could we do something a little bit different? I have an idea. I want it to be special" I said to Jonah. "Special? Why? It's for a high school talent show!" Jonah said to me laughing a little bit. "Okay so you know of how you were saying I was 'smitten' when you brought up Cyrus in the conversation? I kinda am. I mean, I was very much aware that I was gay but I just find it shocking" I told Jonah truthfully. "I knew it! Wait... what's your other idea for the talent show?" Jonah asked me. "Well there's this song that reminds me of Cyrus and I's friendship and I was thinking if I invite Cyrus to see the show, he could see us perform" I answered. "We could do that with any song. Just give my song-in-process a listen, please?" Jonah pleaded. "Fine, I'll give it a listen. Can we hang after school?" I ask Jonah. "I mean, I was supposed to be going to The Spoon, but I can cancel" Jonah answered and I smiled just a little bit. Jonah was a good friend.
    Coach blew the whistle and called us to the gymnasium. "Okay today we are joining with the girls gym class and we are starting our basketball unit! TJ, you're the captain of the basketball team so you can come up here and help!" Coach said. "Uh yeah, okay!" I said to coach. The girls gym class came in and I noticed Buffy, the girls basketball captain, and mimicked a basketball shot to her and did the same thing back. "So wait... are two dating or what" a girl from Buffy's class asked me. "Oh god no, just... mutuals? Friends? Ex-teammates?" I said to her and she just walked away and whispered something to Buffy. "Hahahaha, that girl thinks you like me" Buffy said laughing so much that she ran out of breath. "People can be so dumb" I said. We started playing the game, on my team I had Jonah, Buffy, Kira, who wasn't my favorite person, and some others kids that I didn't really bother to learn their names. We played three games and my team won two of the three rounds, we decided to let the other team win during the last game because they were not doing well.

I suffer through my regular math class but right after I have study hall with Cyrus, Jonah and Andi so I have that to look forward to.
"TJ! Can you give me the answer to number 3?" Mr. Coleman asked me which got me out of my daydream.

"I have no idea" I answered. Mr. Coleman looked at me sternly, "Okay, TJ can you come talk with me after class?"
I always panicked when I heard those words.
I hated talking with teachers.

"TJ, you have been zoning out during class way too much. I don't know if you're too distracted with basketball or something but this isn't okay. Try talking to your parents and doctors about a possibility of ADD, way more people have it than you think. So please, take care of yourself" I nodded and made my way to study hall.

I caught Cyrus and Jonah on the way. "Oh yeah, be aware that you will be dancing in the Shuester's class. He also has two of his former best students from a couple years ago- and one of them is Rachel Berry!" Cyrus said talking to Jonah. I join in on the conversation, "Cyrus i can't believe you weren't freaking out!"

Jonah cuts in, "wait.... the Rachel Berry?!".

We get to the library for study hall and Andi is sitting in a chair reading a book. "My sister loves that book! She read it eight times and always cries about it" I said to Andi when I realized what book she was reading. "You have a sister?" Andi, Cyrus and Jonah asked at the same time. "Why does nobody know this?" I asked laughing but trying to stay quiet. "You never brought it up" Andi said. I nod with agreement. "Anyways-" I'm about to start talking but Jonah cuts me off
"Can you give us a name?"
"Yeah, you can't just bring up a sister and leave it at that?" Cyrus agreed
"Her name is Amber, she works at the spoon! She's the waitress that always tends to mix up orders and has long blonde hair" I said to the group. I notice Andi turn a little red. "Ooh Andi, you hear that? It's the waitress you have a crush on!" Jonah said to Andi who was turning even more red. "I don't have a crush on her. I just think she's cute. Don't be weirded out TJ" Andi said and I chuckled at that comment. Andi is openly pansexual and has absolutely no shame. Unlike me, a gay teen boy, who is barley even a footstep out of this very deep walk-in-closet. "Well Andi, I know you said you're not crushing, but Amber IS into girls" I told Andi.

I could see her smirking a bit. We all talk and work on homework for the rest of the period and the bell rings.

I head into my science class and impatiently wait for the class to be over and head on over to the cafeteria. I make my way to the usual table outside and see almost everyone is already there. But I notice there is someone new at the table. "Yo!! I'm Marty Jackson friends with Buffy!" The guy says. "What's up man, I'm TJ Kippen! You do track right?" I ask Marty and he nods his head in response.

Everyone shows up and we all have conversations about school and Jonah was saying he had a blast in Mr. Shue's class, especially the fact Rachel Berry was there. "She was so sweet and that guy, Kurt, was nice too!" Jonah added, he was so star struck. "I can't believe I dropped out of that class, it was the worst decision" Buffy complained. "Well if you didn't drop out, we wouldn't be sharing a class together" Marty said to Buffy putting his head on her shoulder.
  Cyrus was sitting next to me at the cafeteria table and started moving his hand towards mine so our pinkies touched. I could feel my heart beating very fast, like a cheetah on a treadmill. I don't move. I try to stay focused on the conversation but all I could think about was Cyrus almost holding my hand. The bell rings signaling for students to head to our next class.
  Cyrus and I walk through the halls together. "Are Buffy and Marty dating?" Cyrus asks me. "I don't know, I wouldn't have a problem if they were. They would be cute" I answer. We continue our conversation and see Kurt and he comes over to talk to us. "Oh hey guys!" Kurt says with a smile. "Hey, what's up?" I ask Kurt. "Well my husband, Blaine, just texted me saying he just made it so I'm going to meet him at the front door. Wanna come meet him? I think he will like you guys" Kurt offers us. Cyrus and I look at each other and nod. We follow Kurt to the front door and their is a man with gelled up black hair, casual outfit but with a bow tie. "Oh hey, babe, glad you could make it!" Kurt said greeting his husband. "Hi, who are these two?" Blaine asked referring to Cyrus and I. "Hi I'm Cyrus Goodman!" Cyrus introduced. "I'm TJ, nice to meet you" I said to the man and he introduced himself. We shook hands and he stared at Cyrus and I for a few seconds and smiled. "Are you two together?" Blaine asks us. Cyrus and I look at each other for a second.

"Um..."
