( LAUREL STOKES )The news didn't really hit hard to say the least.
It's not that it wasn't shocking or surprising, but when someones "father" dies the first that came to peoples head usually wouldn't be how cheap you could get your train ticket.
And yet, here she was, scrolling through Groupon seeing what deals she could score to not break her pockets on her journey.
Laurel Stokes had never been one to willingly let money fly around.
She had never been the type to let anything just fly around for that matter. Laurel was a very clean-cut,and precise individual that liked to know what was going on when and where.
It had been that way since she was a kid.
Sir Reginald Hargreeves had been the one to teach her that. He too, liked things to be in order. From the way her and her supposed to be "siblings" dressed to how they completed missions. He has a routine and he made them stick to it.
She's guessing it just happened to rub off.
Laurel's finger scrolled down on the mouse in slow movements as her eyes skimmed until she lit up for joy at seeing something pop up on her screen.
"Thirty-five percent off! Hell yes!"
Her fingers tapped and tapped making sure she redeemed her coupon before all but flying from her office chair upon hearing the home phone in her small, but comfy apartment ring.
She answered the phone but didn't speak until she heard a sweet and almost unfamiliar voice that could only belong to Allison start talking.
"Hello?"
"Allison" Laurel confirmed with a small nod and heard a quiet sigh on the other line. "Hey sis" Allison tried and Laurel only smiled through the phone which she knew couldn't be seen.
"How have you been?"
"As good as can....be expected" The woman tried to find the right wording. "Just calling to see when or if your heading down."
Laurel nearly wanted to come up with a stupid and obviously fake excuse as to why she couldn't make it.
"My dogs sick"
She didn't have a dog,in fact she was allergic.
"Not feeling well"
Laurel never got sick,ever.
So,the woman only sighed and tapped her manicured nails on the table. "Yeah, shouldn't be to long. Just got my coupon ready to go" Laurel said earning a small chuckle from the other line.
"See you soon then."
"Yeah,see you soon."
Laurel hung up the phone before any more words were said.
So I'm officially back on Wattpad again! I know its been a while but I've been doing some things and I recently got into watching The Umbrella Academy on Netflix and I already love Number 5 so enjoy bitches!

Disclaimer: Laurel is in NO way related to any of the Hargreeves and her background and how she got to be somewhat part of the family will be explained later on in the story.
Really don't feel like having my comments flooded with "iNceSt!" :)
