A New Home
JAY
I woke up in an unknown room. My side ached and I felt weak. I looked around and saw a women outside my door. I coughed and she turned to look at me. "Doctor Osborn!" She yelled, dropping her clipboard. "He's awake!"
A man in a white hospital coat ran into the room. I tried sitting up. "Sir, sir please. Stay still it's best you don't move." He spoke.
"Where am I?" I asked.
"The hospital, you've been stabbed in the side and it's seems to be-"
"Where is she?" I asked frantically.
"Where is who, sir?" The doctor asked.
"Cooper! Is she alright! Is she hurt too?" Worry flooded through my body.
"Sir, you were the only one in the house when we found you."
"No. No! NO!" I yelled. "COOPER! They have her! I have to find her! What if they hurt her?" I tried to get up but the nurse and doctor held me down.
"We need help in here!" The doctor yelled. I flung him away from me and stood out of the bed, collapsing to the ground. My vision blurred and the last thing I remember is praying she's safe, and seeing my beautiful niece's smile.
COOPER
I woke up to a phone going off. Thinking to myself that I don't have a phone I sit up quickly. Then, I remember, the guy that hit me, I took his phone. Laying there listening to the ringtone I wondered what it was like having a phone. Or what it was like to text. Uncle Jay would have never let me get a phone. He said, 'phones will only provoke you to proceed with wrong doings'. In other words, he thought if I got a phone I'd call the police on him or have him arrested.
I suddenly hear footsteps down the hall. And they were headed my direction.
Without hesitation I grab my things and climb out the window, hoping I wouldn't get caught. Fortunately I'm able to make it to the fence before a head pops out the window. "I'll call the cops next time, you hooligan!" An older voice yells. I didn't even think about turning around to see who it was when I climbed over the fence. I ran towards the road, hoping to follow it to a restaurant or cafe. I was starving.
Finally, after about fifteen minutes of walking and jogging, I come up to a small little restaurant. 'Cold Hearts Cafe'. "Huh, sounds iffy to me." I think out loud. But it was the closest place to get a full meal. I stepped inside and sat in a booth. A waitress approached me.
"Can I getchoo anything, dear?" She asked in a country accent.
"Uhm, yes please, can I have a glass of water? And some biscuits and gravy?" I ask her.
"Well, of course sweetems! Will that be all?" She smiled with raised eye brows.
"No ma'am." I heard a too familiar voice behind me. "I'd like to order also." I turned around and saw the one and only man, who hit me, with a car.
LIAM
I took a seat beside Her instead of across from her. Making it almost impossible for her to run away. I saw Her enter the cafe from my car as I was passing by. I needed to get my phone back.
Smirking at Her I answered the waitress. "I'll take the same thing please."
"Of course dear, anything else you'd like to add?"
"No thank you, that will be all, unless of course you'd like something else?" I asked the shocked girl sitting next to me. She only shook her head 'no'.
