My heart beat wildly in my chest as he brushes his lips against mine. I was supposed to be angry at him. But any hint of rage I felt disappeared, replaced by butterflies. Tentatively I run my hands through his soft hair. Every moment, it seemed like fireworks were exploding. My fingers curl around the fabric of his shirt. As if I could keep him there. But I wasn't the one yet. One thought lingered in the back of my mind, though. One name. I pushed it down.
He pulls away, his voice hoarse and face as red as I expect mine to be. "I didn't mean to, I-" I shake my head, drawing closer to him, standing on my toes.
"One last chance," I whisper, as I lean into him, pulling him closer by his red tie. The words ring through my mind. One last chance for me to find love. As of tonight, my first chance has crumbled into dust.
