A little information before truly starting the story. This is the tale of Katelyn Lancaster. She has been what folks would call an outlaw or desperado for at least the past six years now. Just one of the many 'vermin' that plagues the land.
And she has made a name for herself. She is known to rarely attack normal civilians, even helping many in their time of distress. She instead chooses to hunt down the notorious O'Driscoll gang, and others who are out causing trouble. The ones she leaves alive are conveniently subdued for the local law enforcement to collect. She seems to have her own sorta moral code.
She is, in the eyes of the public, more of an unruly bounty hunter rather than an outlaw.
For this reason her bounty is not often acted upon, if she even has one in the area, for many of the people have taken a liking to her.
The times her fighting has been publicly witnessed the townsfolk would tell stories for weeks about the savagery that she fought with. It was like a wildcat that had been cornered. And that was how she earned the name "The Wildcat."
No one knows much about her, they are not even sure of her real name. Though it is believed she is Katelyn, the orphaned child of the Lancaster gunsmith family. All there is are the stories of the few who have been helped by her. These are the known facts collected from them.

Dirty blonde haired.
Hazel eyes.
Around 5'7 in height.
Seems to be in her early to mid 20s, quite young.
Has a scar near the end of her left eyebrow and at the bottom of her jaw.
A few even claim that she has golden eye teeth, though that is disputed among many.

She is always alone.

Many of the women try and come up with reasons for why she is an outlaw. It is a favorite activity during midafternoon tea or gossip hour.
Some speculate that she was born into a gang and was exiled, which gang and for what reason varies from woman to woman.
Others think her family was killed and she has turned crazy and ruthless with the heartache.
Some say she is a runaway from a bad situation, that too, varies.
Still some of the other bold thinkers imagine she is trying to prove herself in this man's world, and doing quite well, if that is the case.
Some of the crazier stories even include her being raised by wolves or being a wronged woman's spirt back from the grave for revenge.
They would give anything to know, but she is never in a town long enough to find out. She collects her supplies, orders a drink or two, and before anyone even begins to suspect who she is, she's gone.
