Corbyn's hands gripped the steel rail as the shuttle shook violently, causing the lights to flicker. Normally racing through time was done in a smooth motion, however, in this case, being chased can shake things up a little.
Within a short breath the emergency lights beamed red and the alarm went off, alerting Corbyn as he typed frantically on the machine's keypad.
Changing destination of MARCH 14 2069 to ...
Corbyn racked his brain for a random year, hovering his fingers over the screen. He needed any past year to jump into, just to escape his rivals.
2019.
Corbyn went for it with no hesitation. He didn't have time to doubt any decisions at the moment. Inserting the final destination into the system, he pressed "launch" that was displayed on the screen.
Changed destination of MARCH 14 2069 to MARCH 19 2019
Corbyn took a step back as he felt the machine's engines settle to a soft whir, signalling that he got out of there. He was safe. For now.
