Chapter 8: Lucky Marry (Part 6) - Warmth Deceiver

Kano after a slight break-down of losing the last bit of hope he had left after losing once more the chance to get the bunny stickers, he soon walked off and tried to hide his own shameful face from everyone, not to let anyone see his tears forming in. When he walked to the forest, to head back to the other city where the members reside in, he suddenly saw something on the left side of the forest road. He then decided to go and check it out for himself...

After a slight check on the left side, he then saw a little rabbit wandering around the area. Apparently, it was just a baby rabbit... something is wrong, why is there a baby rabbit in the forest, and in the middle of the night too?. Kano then decided to go and check closely on the little rabbit, it seemed fine, however the baby rabbit was shuddering, and Kano felt the growls on its stomach. Kano blinked and looked more at the baby rabbit, he then slowly stroked his head, trying to comfort it.

"Let's go and find your mom and dad... you seem to have them, right?" Kano asked, he thought if he goes to find the rabbit's parents, maybe it will be the least Kano would do.

The boy decided to go deep into the forest area, trying to find the rabbit's mom and dad. Kano thought of how it would feel like getting lost like that, after a bit, he then heard gun shots from afar. It felt like some hunters came around to get their seasonal animal spree, but then he realized something... he checked and saw the rabbit season bulletin board, so apparently the baby rabbit was not shuddering because of some habit, it was shuddering because of the gun shots it heard. Since Kano didn't want the little rabbit to get hurt, he immediately put it on his little backpack, and decided to attempt to find the rabbit's parents.

He sprinted and rushed over as fast as possible, meanwhile he heard the clang sounds of the guns loading. He went deeper and deeper, until he suddenly saw some shadows from afar. It must be some animal or something. When he checked even close,n he got to the end of the road, he saw something that shocked him... it was the little rabbit's parents and brothers, all covered in red colored splats, the color was stained everywhere from the place. The rocky walls, the trees from the sides, the cold but grassy ground, all stained with the red and dark color of blood. Kano realized that the rabbit only ran off away from those hunters. Kano suddenly held his head, as his body trembled in fear, having a flashback of his past.

After having this past into his head, he noticed that the baby rabbit had the same feeling as him. Probably, he may have been connected to the rabbit for some reason... by the time Kano heard some footsteps coming near, it seemed like they were wearing boots, due to the squeaking sound they make whenever those were wet. Kano quickly took action and ran off, away from the hunters, at the same time, trying to protect the young little rabbit. He rushed and sprinted, jumped and dodged, everything in his way until he can make it to the road again. Once he got out of the place, the young boy checked the rabbit, it was still fine. He slowly picked it up and stroked its head slowly again, being careful and gentle with its soft and fluffy ears.

"Everything will be fine... I promise..." Kano said, with a tiredly tone.

He then slowly walked off towards the other city, and into the hideout where the members reside in. After a long run and walk, it was 12 o clock, everyone was getting worried since Kano didn't came back for a while. Kido and Marry were affected the most, since they were regretting what they did to him, at the same time, they regret for not doing anything for him... when they were about to go and look for him...
