Chapter 9: Lucky Marry (Part 7) - Forgiveness

The events that happened that night made Kano decide to become a bit more of a careful kind of person, as he walked slowly towards the place where the members of the Mekakushi Dan resided in, he grabbed some bits of vegetables he had found on the road, giving food to the little guy. Kano slowly thought it through and said into his mind.

"What if I didn't even see this in the first place? If I didn't, then this little guy would have died if I didn't came here... not because of hunger, because of how mindless people are... they don't care about the animals' emotions then..."

Kano actually then made it to the place, as he then slowly walked into the stairway and looked around for the door. Since it was completely dark, he slowly touched the cold metal walls, trying to find the knob of the home. After he heard a comotion in the house, he smiled weakly and realized that they were worried. He walked slowly to right side of the wall, and slip slowly onto the cold floor. He looked up at the sky and then closed his weak but yellow eyes, to rest for a bit.

When Kido opened the door to try to find Kano, she already had found him in front of the door, but she saw some bruises he had on his arms and how his clothes were a bit ripped up. Kido rushed over to Kano and shooked him, yelling out loud.

"KANO?! KANO!" She yelled, but suddenly she saw the little rabbit in his arms. She blinked for a few seconds and would try to hurt him, but due to his physical state, she couldn't. She quickly called the others to help him and the rabbit out.

Everyone of the members ran outside and looked at both of them. Seto and Momo decided to carry Kano, thiugh he was a bit heavy for them, but they slowly brought him inside of the hideout. As for the rabbit, Marry saw it in Kano's arms, as she slowly took the rabbit out of Kano's cold arms. As she payed attention to the bunny, she would then ask Kano when he wakes up. The young girl took care of the little bunny while the other took care of Kano.

It seemed like he had a bruise on his chest, which was while he was running, he crashed to a tree, which had injured him badly. Momo started to wrap up the wound with a clean towel with a bit of alcohol to stop the bit of bleeding. She slowly wrapped it up around his chest, as he flinched in his sleep. Kido kept an eye on him and took care of him for a while. Everyone took turns each hour... waiting for him to wake up from his slumber...

The next morning, Kano woke up on his bed, meanwhile Kido and Marry were keeping an eye on him, when he woke up, they looked closely and saw that he was awake. Kido immediately hitted him first, because of how he left the house, while hitting him on the head, she yelled.

"You idiot! Why did you left like that?!" She asked while sniffling.

Kano, in which winced and flinched, he rubbed his head gently and looked at her. Kido actually was worried, and that she slowly sniffled on his chest, Kano then later on patted her head... comforting her...

After a bit, Marry came in with the pet bunny rabbit, the rabbit was calm, happy and full, since she fed it quite a lot of carrots. Thinking that Kano brought it as a gift, she hugged Kano, but Kano explained every single bit.

After that, Marry then asked if it was her fault, but then Kano replied.

"No it wasn't your fault... don't worry, in fact, that bunny was for you..."
