Chapter 2

"So why did you move to California?" Areda asked for the hundredth time today as we placed the pizza we ordered on a table and took our seats in the cafe. Sometimes i wonder if she has a memory loss or something. I roll my eyes and shake my head.

"What?" she barked with a mouthful of pizza.

"Seriously, this is like the fifth time you're asking me the exact question" i shouted. Getting really frustrated with her short term memory.

"I'm sorry sweetie.. I don't know why i keep forgetting things" she snorted.

"That's okay.. Hurry up i still have a lot of things to do" i said looking at the full pizza in front of her. She's soo slow. I noticed she wasn't paying attention anymore. She was lost in whatever she was staring at.

"What do you think about them?" she said pointing towards the opposite direction.

"Them?... Who?" i glanced towards the direction of her finger and gasped. It was them... Again. I found Grayson, Michael and Ashton seated on the table discussing. Grayson was seated in the middle of the table while Michael and Ashton were seated on the left and right side of the table respectively. Ashton muttered something which made Grayson tense up a bit making his muscles penetrate through the thick white shirt he wore. Damn. I have never seen him react this way, i guess whatever they are discussing is important. I didn't know how long i was staring until i locked eyes with Grayson. Shit.. What do i do. I quickly diverted my eyes back to Areda.

"Would you stop staring.. They'll notice" i panicked. I don't need any of them storming over to this table or so i thought. It was too late already.

"Hey cuties" Michael waved towards us as he walked over to our table.

Oh crap

Just what i needed

"Hey Mikey " Areda replied blushing. Mikey??.. Whats up with her. Since when were they on talking terms.

"Hi Selene" he said smiling at me.

"its Selena" i corrected him.

"I know, i like Selene better" he said drawing out the seat beside me.

"I don't remember asking you to sit" i said really getting annoyed.

"That's because i didn't ask" he smirked as he collapsed on the chair crossing his legs. I roll my eyes

"I love annoying you.. It's fun" he whispered in my ear and i glare at him making him and Areda laugh. I guess she heard that. I just wish i could escape from them.

"Join my group and no one will annoy you " Grayson said as he walked towards our table with his hands slipped into his pockets and Ashton beside him.

"What group??.. I don't want to join your stupid group " i barked. These guys are trouble and i don't want to have anything to do with them. Not even with their leader. He took a step closer to me and stared into my eyes making my heart rate increase. What is wrong with me.

" I was just trying to be nice by giving you a choice. When i say you are in the group, it means you are in the group " he groaned making me shiver in fear. Who does this guy think he is. If he thinks he can order me around like i'm some puppet then he's got it all wrong.

" NO.. I'm not in the group" i said stressing the word 'No' hoping he gets the memo and get off my case.

"We'll see about that, little kitty" he said curtly walking away.

"I have a name and i'm not in your group " I yelled making him stop on his track. He turned and i saw his lips form into a smirk.

" Yes, you are part of my group from now on. You better get used to it " he winked as he left the cafe.

Ugh! I hate this guy

" Can i join too? " Areda asked referring to Michael as she gave him the puppy dog look.

" Well.. You can " Michael replied.

" On one condition.. " Ashton added sharply.

" What condition? " she asked.

" She has to join " Ashton said pointing towards me. What the hell.

" You heard him selena.. Hurry up and say yes " she said staring at me. With the puppy dog look. No way girl, that ain't working for you this time.

" Me??.. No way Areda.. I can't believe your saying this. I'm not interested " Can't believe she's siding with them.

" Please selena, plea...se. I cant be the only girl in the group, it will be awkward. PLEASE " she begged. This is the first time someone has actually asked me for a favor and i shouldn't turn down my first favor right. She's my friend and she needs me, so i should be there for her.

The three were patiently waiting for my answer as they stared at me with moisture in their eyes.

I hate situations like this

"Hmmm... Fine " i sigh in defeat

They all exhale deeply like they've been holding their breaths. Areda squeal and wrap her arms around me.

" Thank you soo much.. I love you " she said kissing my cheek.

" I love you too " i said as we both unwrap each other.

"Good choice.. Selena " Ashton said. It was the first time he called my name. He must've felt awkward judging from the way he pronounced it.

"Welcome to the group Selene.. I promise you won't regret joining " Michael said wiggling his brows. I didn't bother correcting him. I guess he's bound on calling me Selene, so i'll let him have that.

I couldn't help but wonder how my dad would react if he finds out i broke one of his rules and joined the group of the most popular and baddest guys in college. It will really be the end of me. I shudder at the thought.
