Chapter VI

I woke up in the morning and couldn't get out of my bed. All I could think about was how I ruined my chance with Tom. My eyes were filled with tears. "I'm never good enough" I said to myself. I heard my sister Agnes behind my door, so I wiped my tears away and acted like nothing happened. Agnes was jumping out of joy and screaming:

"We have 3 days left! Let's go sightseeing"

I just realized I had only three more days to hang out with Tom. I grabbed my phone and texted him:

Me: Hi, Tom. I have only three days left in London. Wanna hangout today?

He responded after about 10 minutes.

Tom: I wish I could, but I have two plays today. I don't think we'll have enough time, but you can come to my house at 8pm.

I couldn't believe that! He wanted me to come to his house!

Me: I'd be honored. Send me your address later, please!

My mood was a lot better. We went sightseeing, then we got back to our hotel. I got dressed and did my makeup to look better. Then I headed to the subway. I had his address. I was excited and also a little anxious. I don't like new places and the crowded subway makes me feel overwhelmed. Luckily, it wasn't far away.

When I got there, I knocked at the door. Tom opened and smiled at me.

"Come on in" he said.

His house was enormous and breath-taking. It was so cozy that I could sleep on his couch all day.

"Wow, you have a beautiful house, Tom"

"Not as beautiful as you, Raven" I immediately blushed. He said we were supposed to be friends! Then what is he doing now?

"Umm Thank you" I didn't know what else to say. We sat on the couch.

"Do you want some tea?" he asked.

"Yeah sure."

"Okay, after we drink tea, I want to show you something. It's a surprise."

"Oh I'm curious!"

"Wait a little longer" Tom winked at me.

We drank tea and Tom was telling me about today's play.

"Okay it's time to show you my little surprise for you."

We went outside to his garden. There was a wall there. Tom jumped on it and helped me sit on the top of the wall.

"Look." he said and held my hand. My heart stopped. We were looking at the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen.

"It's amazing"

"I know. It is my safe place. I like to sit around here and watch the sunsets, especially when I'm feeling low. And you know, since I met you I haven't felt low even once"

We stared into each others' eyes. My heart was going crazy.

"Tom... can I tell you something?"

"Sure"

"You have no idea how much I want to kiss you right now." I blushed and regreted those words immiedately after I said them.

"You know what? Let's do something crazy" he said and held me around my waist and made me sit on him. He gently put his lips on mine. It was the best feeling in the world. We kissed passionately untill we couldn't breathe anymore. He looked into my eyes, I looked into his.

"Wow what about this just friends thing, Tom?"

"I was wrong. Age doesn't matter. Nothing matters. I am crazy about you, Raven"
