The next day

I woke up and Dave wasn't in the bed with me, so I went into Kai's room to check on them . I figured Dave went to the trap . I walked into the room and they weren't there. I rose my brow and went into the bathroom to handle my hygiene. I put on one of Dave sweats and grabbed my phone off the night stand, it read 11:34 a.m. I walked down the stairs and heard Papa's laughter. I peaked my head in the kitchen and Dave has Kai sitting on the counter and Papa in a high chair, while he danced to baby shark. They were giggling so hard that papa was red.

"Hey baby." Dave shouted while he turned down the music.

"Good morning Dave." I laughed.

"I'm making breakfast for us." He said before coming up to me and kissing me on my lips.

"It smells good in here." I smiled. I walked up to Kai and kissed her face repeatedly while she giggled. Then I went to papa to kiss him and he nudged my head away.

"Uh uh, papa what's wrong with you?" I asked. He looked over at Dave and extended his arms so Dave could pick him up. He started laughing and playing with Dave's beard.

"Yo you turned my son against me ?" I looked at papa hurt as fuck and Dave was killing him self laughing.

"Up!!" Kai shouted and I went over to pick her up and she played with the chain on my neck. I walked with her to the couch and sat down and she rested her head on my chest.

"Yo, you gone really try to take my kid? You foul man." Dave laughed, walking into the living room and sitting on the couch. I didn't bother to answer. Instead, I just continued to play with Kai's feet . Dave placed papa on the side of me and went to finish the food.

"What you wanna do today baby?" Dave asked as he gave everyone a plate.

"It don't matter. I was bout to take Papa to the pool or something." I spoke as I watched Bird Box. We had decided to go and rest for while, after Kairi and Yosohn went back to sleep as soon as they ate.

"That sound good. Man I can't believe you got me in here all cuddle up and shit." He said looking up at me. I was surprised that he even gave me this much attention honestly. I never expected him to be this type of guy, especially after my baby's father.

"Yeah, I wasn't really expecting you to be this affectionate to be honest," I spoke truthfully. 

"Man, I never anticipated to be like this withchu . I never even thought we would've gotten to this." I scratched the back of his neck. I nodded understanding him completely.

"I got to go home to get some clothes to change, can I borrow your car ?" I asked and he threw me his BMW keys.

"Watch papa please he's still sleeping." I looked at him and he nodded. I pushed my feet into some slides and walked out the door. I hopped in the car and headed in the direction of my house. It took about 30 minutes because of traffic. I headed out the car and into my crib. I locked the door behind myself as I headed upstairs to take a shower.  About 35 minutes of me taking a shower and doing a facial, I wrapped a towel around my body.

I put on some booty shorts and a strapless tank. I placed my hair in a low ponytail and sprayed myself with some perfume. I went over to Papa's room to get his stuff for him take a bath. I heard a knock on the front door and grabbed Papa's bag to head downstairs. I grabbed his snacks and head towards the door. I immediately rolled my eyes as I saw who it was.

"What do you want nigga?" I spoke with attitude as i looked at him.

"Who car is that in yo driveway ? Yo that better not be that same nigga you brought to my fucking house." Herbert spoke trying to look past me in my house.
