The food stays on the table
feeling cold
feeling unwanted
feeling wastedShe lies on her bed
hearing the other kids say
she's pathetic
she's ugly
she's stupidHe sits on the floor with blood
from his father's beatings, while saying
he's worthless
he's weak
he's not good enoughNothing is good enough
We think we're not good enough
But that's not true
Everything matters
We are all good enoughWe may not look like strong heroes
to come and save the day
We may not be the smartest
to get into the best college
We may not be skinny and pretty
to have popularity and have a good-looking otherWe don't just look at the outside
We look at their hearts
We look at their personality
We look at their deeds
And then decide whether they're good enough or more
