•°~Start anew - Ivlis x Male!Devil!Reader~°•

"And that's everything he did to me..." Ivlis muttered with a sigh, quickly wiping his eyes before the (h/c) devil beside him would notice the tears. They were sitting next to each other somewhere in the flaming Underworld and Ivlis had told his pretty much only friend (y/n) everything. "I'm sorry you have to go through this, Ivlis." replied said devil with a sigh looking at the black haired male with sadness in his eyes. The two of them were some kind of best friends, though the (h/c) didn't quite know if Ivlis felt the same. They had gotten to know each other over a party for devils, thrown by Reficul.
(Y/N) was the devil of the Wasteland World and not that well known. Well, that wasn't even a surprise since the Wasteland world was just some desert with a few ruined buildings, nothing special. Still, (y/n) was invited and got to know Ivlis there. The two of them seemed to instantly understand each other and became friends fairly quickly.

"No, it's alright. Having you listen to me like this is enough. Thank you, (y/n)" replied the flame devil. The (e/c) eyed male felt his face become hotter and just nodded, not trusting whether his voice would break or not. You see, the thing about him was that he had a huge crush on Ivlis. Normally this wouldn't be a problem. He'd either accept or not, but Ivlis... Ivlis was another story.
The flame devil had been through a lot, even before he got to know (y/n). First he was stripped of his powers and wings by his creator, Siralos, and banished soon after. Then, the pitch black world's devil Satanick and another going by the name of Reficul started tormenting and harrassing him.
Once (y/n) learned about this, he had immediately felt like he needed to protect the flame devil, no questions asked. However, he understood that close relationships were now difficult for him and he respected that. Even if it meant hurting himself, he would never force Ivlis into anything.

"Um... (Y/N), are you okay? Your face is pretty red right now. Is the temperature here too much for you?" Ivlis' voice ripped the other devil out of his train of thoughts. "No... No! I'm okay. Don't worry" he laughed it off, scratching the back of his head.
Ivlis of course noticed the way (e/c) eyes seemed a bit more sad once the (h/c) had turned away. The Flame Devil slowly placed a hand on the other male's which of course made the latter look at him in surprise.
"What...are you doing?" (Y/N) could feel the blush on his cheeks and tried his best to hide his embarrassment. "Comforting you. Like you're always doing for me" Ivlis replied with the smallest of smiles. "Now tell me what's wrong."
The (s/c) male bit his lip, pondering whether to reply truthfully or not. "Are you sure? I don't want to make you uncomfortable..." Ivlis nodded in reply, making the other devil sigh before he spoke up.
"Well... It's hard to explain. To make it simple... I like you, Ivlis. I really do. More than just as a friend and I know that you probably won't accept my confession, which is totally okay bu--"
(Y/N) was interrupted by the sensation of soft and warm lips on his own. He couldn't register what was going on until Ivlis pulled away. "Sorry... I don't know what came over me." muttered the black haired devil with a small tint of pink on his cheeks. "It's... It's fine..." replied the other, still in a daze. Had Ivlis just...kissed him? There was no way. After all that had happened...right?
"But I can at least give you an answer. I feel the same way, (y/n)." Said Ivlis, who was now leaning on the (h/c) a little, his head resting on his shoulder.
A broad smile made its way onto the latter's face.

"Thank you, Ivlis..."
