!WARNING! a bit of angst n shit coming up :)

The male huffed as he finally got into his car. He wasn't getting home nearly as late as he was last night, but he was still extremely tired. He just hoped to make it home without passing out in his car.

Yoongi, with drowsy eyes, parked his car and sat there for a moment, his eyes closed, sighing and listening to the music playing softly in his car. He was relaxed until he heard a small slam of a door next door and jerked his eyes open.

"I told you to stay the fuck away from me!" Yoongi squinted through his drowsiness and saw his pink-haired neighbor yelling at a guy he didn't recognize.

He saw the strange male walking back towards the boy albeit his attempts at getting away from him. Yoongi could sense something was wrong, but the pink-haired male had always seemed rather closed off, so Yoongi didn't know how to handle this. Was he just upset because one of his friends had made him mad and continued to bother him? Or was it something else?

"Please-!" Tears streamed down the male's face, his hair disheveled. "Please stay away!" Yoongi watched the scene, his hand on the car door handle in case the stranger got rough with the boy.

"Jimin, how many times do I have to tell you? I'm never going away!" A wave of confusion and uneasiness came over Yoongi's mind as he saw the stranger's mouth form into a wicked smile. His hand pulled on the door handle and he stepped out of the car just as he saw the stranger tugging on Jimin's arm rather forcefully. He walked over to the porch and pulled back the stranger.

"What the hell are you doing?" He asked, looking at the psychotic man's looking face.

"I'm getting what belongs to me, obviously." The male said, tugging on Jimin's loose fitting sleeve once more. Yoongi pulled him back and pushed him back down to the driveway. "Go, before I call the cops." Yoongi threatened, pulling his phone from his pocket. The man scoffed, but walked toward his car nevertheless. "Whatever. Hope your ugly boyfriend can protect you, baby. You'll need it."

"I'm sorry."

Yoongi looked over at Jimin, who was sitting at his dining table. "Why're you sorry?" He asked, wetting a rag to clean the blood from Jimin's elbow from where the man pushed him onto the concrete.

"For living next to you."

Yoongi chuckled. "Why?"

"Because I'm shitty and now you're having to handle my shitty problems."

"Jimin, you need to learn the definition of 'shitty', because that is most definitely what you or your problems are."

Jimin looked up with puffy eyes. Yoongi gulped. He looked so innocent and cute, and all Yoongi wanted to do was hold the boy tight and protect him.

"I don't believe you." Jimin stated a few moments later, making Yoongi chuckle again. "It doesn't matter if you believe me or not, Jimin. It's still true no matter what."

Jimin huffed and pouted. "Alright. Pull your sleeve back up so I can clean your elbow, okay?" Jimin nodded and pulled his sleeve up slowly up to his elbow.

Yoongi caught himself staring at the boy's wrist for a bit too long. He averted his eyes away from the scars and took the rag, cleaning Jimin's elbow. The younger winced a bit, but did nothing to stop him.

Yoongi handed him a bandage once he was finished disinfecting it. He sat down next to the younger and studied his features. The way his soft, pink hair fell over his beautiful brown eyes. The way his plump lips were parted slightly. The way his-

"Yoongi?"

Yoongi's gaze shot up toward Jimin's face, a deep red blush coming across his face. "Yeah?"

"I should be getting home." He said, throwing away the wrapper to the bandage.

"Wait-! Here's my number. Call or text me if you need anything." Jimin smiled and took the piece of paper Yoongi had scribbled his number onto. "Thanks, Yoongi."
