The Fight

It was finally time. Time for Amber to take back her friends, she wouldn't let Jake take everything from her, not again. She was walking through the dark forest when she walked into a clearing, and there he was. Jake's eyes glowing red with Ofra and the others at his side. Ofra's eyes looked lifeless as if her soul left her body. Amber hated seeing her best friend like this. She wanted to lunge at Jake and kill him on the spot, but she knew it wouldn't help her friends. Instead she slowly walked towards him and then stopped when he put his hand up.

"Why hello Amber, how are you doing?" Jake was provoking her, she just knew it.

"Oh well I don't know what about you release my friends from your crabby hands you mut." Amber spat. She was furious, so much so that her hands started glowing green, it looked as if they were on fire, but they both knew better than that. For a second Jake looked scared, but quickly gained his composure. A smirk grew on his face.

"Well well, looks like you take after your father. He had those powers." Amber didn't expect that. How could he possibly have known her parents? Only her closest friends met them before they died 3 years ago. Well they were murdered, but Amber couldn't think of that right now. He was trying to have her lose her focus.

"How do you know my parents? You've never met them." Amber didn't know if she even wanted to know the answer. She never got over her parents death, especially since no one knew who did it. Then Amber noticed a smirk growing on Jake's lips.

"Because I killed them... I killed them and drank their blood so I could have their powers. SO I COULD BE THE MOST POWERFUL ALPHA!" he started to laugh, as if he was insane, which he obviously was. However Jake didn't expect Amber to be engulfed in green, tears going down her face and all she said was

"Im going to kill you." She lunged at him and they started to fight.

Amber was stabbed. She felt pain all through her body, yet she wasn't ready to give up just yet, not until her friends were free. She got up and attacked him with a blast of green from her hand not putting pressure on the wound. Jake was sent back and hit his head against a tree. That's when Amber took her chance and went over to Ofra and gave her a bit of the potion. The life came back to Ofra's eyes. She looked confused until she saw what was happening. Her eyes went wide with concern when she saw Ambers wound. Amber put one necklace around Ofra's neck.

"You have to go free the others and quickly. Give them this potion and after it works give them the necklaces. I'll keep Jake back." One thing she didn't tell Ofra was that the potion would want her soul, and the more people it healed the quicker her soul would be taken. So she had to finish this quick. Jake finally got up and noticed what Ofra was doing, he wanted to attack her but Amber punched him, breaking his nose.

"Give up Amber. You won't be here for much longer, what's the point?"

"The point is I won't let you hurt my friends ever again. So if I'm going down you're coming with me." Suddenly the green around Amber was replaced with black it started growing until it grabbed Jake. He couldn't move, he felt like he was eaten alive, which was similar to what Amber was feeling, suddenly Jake was consumed by darkness and he was gone, forever. Then Amber turned to the girls. Ofra was yelling her name.

"Amber what are you doing!? You're going to die!" Ofra was crying so were all the girls, they were all sobbing. Then Amber turned to them.

"Goodbye." And then she was engulfed in the darkness. You could hear her screaming. The girls had to hold Ofra back as she tried to run towards the place where Amber stood. Then nothing. The darkness was gone and so was Jake's body. They saw Amber and ran towards her. All they saw was her soul leave her body and that's when Ofra broke. She turned into her wolf form and ran, and ran, and ran. Blaming herself for everything.

Then she realized she couldn't leave her friends, her little sister, her pack. She ran back to them and they all carried Amber to the Monster Academy. The nurse checked her. She was gone. Jacey wasn't convinced though.

"Ofra where's Amber's spell book?"

"In her room, why?" That's when you could see hope in all of their eyes.

"I think we could get her back." And they ran.
