Sans walked into Papyrus's room, and shook his brother awake.

"Hm? Oh, good *yawn* morning Sans. Did you sleep well?"

"Nope."

"Insomnia keep you up all night again?"

"Yep."

"Lucky..."

Papyrus got out of bed and stumbled over to the door.

"Are you prepared for a delicious spaghetti breakfast, cooked by the great Papyrus?"

"Actually bro, I already made bacon and eggs."

"It's not spaghetti, but I suppose it'll do."

As they ate Papyrus talked about their sentry duties.

"Sans, a human could come through any day now, so you need be alert and ready."

"Sure bro."

Papyrus sighed in frustration.

"Sans I don't understand why you insist on slacking, when you're one of the few people who don't have to."

"Because I'd prefer being able to sleep over being able to stay awake."

"Oh Sans, you *yawn* don't know... zzz."

Sans got up and left the house. As he walked through Snowdin, he saw people sleeping in the snow. Those who were still awake yawned with half-closed eyes.

Sans envied them.

He decided to teleport to his sentry station.

For a while of trying to sleep, but to no avail. Then he heard it. The sound of snow crunching. Someone had come out of the Ruins.

Sans watched the bridge, making sure he couldn't be spotted, when they finally arrived. A human, presumably a child around the age of twelve. They wore a blue sweater with lavender stripes, brown leggings, and brown leather boots. Their skin was incredibly pale. They had blue eyes and blonde hair, but the color was so faint that their hair almost looked white and their eyes almost looked grey.

The human crossed the bridge and lied down in the snow. This irritated Sans. He already knew that humans were affected by the curse, but it still annoyed him to see a human get some sleep when he couldn't.

But the human didn't fall asleep. They tossed and turned, as if trying to get comfortable, and then seemingly gave up. They got up, and continued walking towards Snowdin.

Sans stood shocked before following the human. It was about time he met another insomniac.
