Legend says Devil Fruits not only give you the power to eliminate your enemies but also to find your one true love, your soulmate. Law and Reader are soulmates, but will these two opposite sides of a coin match?
Unlike popular belief Devil Fruits are not just mere fruits that give 'powers' to humans. They are, in fact, gifts from demons in hopes of 'luring' humans to their side, away from the angels. They use them as baits and once consumed the human's soul has officially sealed a contract with the devil himself, exchanging his soul for power, permanently... hence the name 'devil fruit'.
Much like every other supernatural creature demons possess other demon soulmates, mixed raced couples have never been heard of, unlike humans who have no soulmates.
By 'gifting' humans their powers they too transfer a bit of their 'soul' to them, leading to two human devil fruit users of two demon soulmates being... well soulmates! Even if just for a small percentage...
But chances are two devil fruit soulmates finding each other 1 in a million, after all there are too many devil fruits still to uncover and so little humans willing to go after them.
In this case, (Y/N)'s chance of finding her soulmate is much bigger than she thought it would be...
1 - Although Law and reader are the main couple, that won't stop either of them from having other small flings with several other One Piece characters before finally setling down.
2 - The information in the prologue is unknown to humans, so they will feel atraction but won't know why.
3 - Reader won't be the usual 'girl with commitment problems' like in every other romance story you've read. Reader has a fiesty personality, Law is an asshole, don't expect them to get together right away! Reader has certain morals and beliefs just lieke everyone else, therefore will have to overlook some to be with Law, an outlaw (pun intended). So don't confuse 'commitment issues' with 'using your fucking brain like a normal person'.
