The doctor awoke to the shocking sound of thunder and rain crashing into the roof of his room. The air was damp, difficult to breath, but the doctor was far too used to difficult breathing. He studied his map closely, inspecting Welk specifically. He had came to visit one household in Welk, but a rather important one. The doctor's destination was the mansion on the outskirts of the other side of town. He took a step outside his coat instantly clashed with the heavy rain. He began his walk through the streets, amidst the downpour, towards Wilford Mansion.
As the doctor strided down empty streets he thought of the man named Lawrence Wilford. Mr. Wilford was a prestigious and proud man, standing tall against all that should appose him. However, he had a heart of gold, caring for all who deserved it and all who needed it. He was extremely fond of animals big and small, owning many pets who keep him company alongside his wife and two loyal servants. He was quite famous across the country, but all was not well. Lawrence Wilford, had recently fallen very ill. The doctor's goal was to inspect him, and ultimately judge whether he had caught the horrid sickness.
Thunder struck loudly over the Wilford household at the same time as a loud knocking on the front doors. The two servants quickly answered and were overtaken by a sense of fear as the long mask and foggy lenses stared back at them, seemingly unmoving. The male servant, quivering, spoke, "You must be the one whos come to check on Master Wilford. Please step inside." The doctor accepted the invitation and stepped through into the wide, open room, gazing at many paintings of animals and portraits of Wilford and his wife.
"Please follow me this way, Master Wilford is resting in his room right now." Stuttered the young, clearly inexperienced maid. She led the doctor up the steps and to Lawrence's room.
