Kleisti Faction Commander POV

"Body hunting has been the worst thing I've had to do since the war ended...".

The stoic male said to his subordinate as he walked down the hills searching for the bodies that needed to be buried

.... The Commander was young but he had been matured after witnessing and taking part in the war... He stood a 6'9 inches on his hooves and the white spots on his strong brown legs showed that he was a deer Creature, but he doesn't let the stereotype stop him from fighting, and to his sorrow... Killing fellow creatures

But the worst things he had seen was creatures that had been corrupted by darkness after they had witnessed their own families torn and killed, by creatures serving in the armies that just wanted to satisfy the requirements and win rewards of the War

Kill Winged Creatures : Access to the Food supply

Kill Finned Creatures : Access to the Travel necessities provided by the rulers

Kill Clawed creatures : Access to the treasury of the palace

The War of Millenia had been going on for 1000 years and only when the war was getting better for the hooved, did the Leaders decide to end it

" Sir... I think you need to see this.."

The Deer Commander trotted over to his soldier to inquire about the horrific look on his face to see him bent over a dead body... The Look on both their faces was mirrored as soon as they saw a beautiful deer creature shot several times on her back as her eyes return a soulless yet somehow a pleading, look back to the Soldiers

"Go look around for something else... I smell another being close.." the Commander said as he bent over to the body facing her eyes

"Yes Sir" they trotted back leaving the Commander with the soulless husk of a body

'I will avenge your death... All of our brothers and sisters will not have died in vain my fellow creature'

The Commander thought as he picked a strand of the beautiful creature's hair from its eyes

"Sir we found something else..." his subordinate spoke up not far behind

He got up, leaving to see his subordinate but not before he looked back to see the body one last time,

'Your eyes glow like green jewels that have been shattered for the sake of our blood lust.. I'm sorry that you had to leave this world without seeing the peace that we had acquired' he spoke silently in his heart

The Commander walked back slowly... His head hung low only to be greeted with the smell of an infant creature
And the sight of an infant creature in an Ebony stump..

Tears formed in his eyes as he suddenly picked up the child earning a yawn from her

His mate and him had just lost several of their young in the war and to see another creature... Pure and innocent after such a long time made him... tear up

He felt a presence behind him as he turned back he was greeted by an elk looking at him much far from him and then moving its eyes to the child in his arms... And suddenly

"I will be your home now and you will be called Ebony.."

he spoke.. Not breaking eye contact with the elk... Slowly the elk took a step opposite to where they were and ran away...

"Welcome to the Kleisti, Ebony
We are your family and home now" the Commander said his voice breaking the silence, as he put his forehead to the silent infant's head

The soldiers smiled aware of what their leader had been through and what he was feeling

"Welcome home Ebony" they cheered in unison

Maybe this body hunt wasn't so bad...
