Left, no right
Forward, now backward
Is it sixteen or twenty-four?
Left foot is always odd
Slides are always important
Shoulders must face front
Knees may not bend
And toes are always up
Monday through Friday
Sometimes Saturday too
Work all day, and into the night
To make it be alright
Play loud, but do not bark
Ensure good tone quality
Make sure it all blends
But one must not forget contrast
Football games
And competitions
We must be perfect
To be names state champions
This is the life,
The life of a marcher
Because once you join
There’s no turning back
