CM:Chapter 14

[Ethans POV]

It was soon time for the party to start for the evening. Everyone from the different packs were socializing and getting to know each other as we mingled with drinks and the finger food that was currently being served.

That felling of uneasiness that I had felt during the day was steadily growing and I often had shake myself or sit down because I would either zone out or feel dizzy. I had the feeling I needed to let my mom know but she was so busy that I could hardly keep track of her. Zack had taken to sticking to me like glue. 

I'm guessing he might have noticed that something was off with me but I just shrugged every time he asked and told him I was fine. I didn't want to spoil his fun or anyone's fun for that matter. My wolf wasn't helping and would from time to time try to surface but I'd managed to keep him at bay so far.

It was later that the Alpha had come up to the platform that we had set where all the i Alpha and the Luna's and betas were. We had all gathered and sat around the tables to listen.

      "I just want to thank everyone for all your support and for taking the time to be here. I would have rather we would gather for a more happy matter but the goddess in her wisdom has made other plans. It's been some very long hard years, lots of tears, pain,stress, helpless, a bit of joy" He started looking out at the guest at the table and then to the pack.

      "I know as an Alpha, its my job to ensure that my pack is safe and cared for but circumstances didn't allow for me to be where I wanted to be and I can only tank goddess for blessing me with such an understanding pack and an even stronger Beta, who despite my absence took care of the people I cherished and kept me up to date with everything and everyone."

He nodded to Zacks dad and his mate Emily before he continued.

     "I have a lot of catching up to do and some members to official welcome but I just want to express my utmost gratitude to everyone for being so understanding and for those who were around and know my story I thank you for your continued wishes and hopes that I felt even though I was thousands of miles away. I know there are some people who wanted to be here tonight my heir being on of them but I promised you all will get to meet the Alpha who will one day be your new leader".

At that statement there was a lot of chatter as people whispered and some clapped. He continued with his speech thanking everyone again and saying he was looking forward to getting settled in and taking up his rol as Alpha. He let us know his mates body would arrive in a weeks time as well and we have the funeral soon after. 

After the speech was done, he toasted to his mate and the pack and our allies before dinner started being served.  We were in the middle of eating and I suddenly lost my appetite.

I felt dizzy again and my wolf stared shouting close again. I felt like my head was going to split open. I held on to my head trying to ease the rising pain as I tried to keep my wolf at bay but it was no use. 

I started to feel hot all over like I was sitting in furnace. I wanted scratch my skin off and a soft whimper left my lips, catching Zack attention.

"E, are you sure your ok?" he asked concerned.

I could barely reply because I felt like I was going to pass out. He immediately noticed reaching his arm out to grab my hands only to hiss and pull his hands back. 

"Shit, E, you're burning up" He hissed turning the gain his brother attention motioning or him to get their dad or my mom. 

I was getting weaker by the minute and my wolf was going to gain control. I could feel that my eyes were switching colors again as I heard Zack curse under his breath once more. I could tell more people were starting to notice and it was causing an uproar of gasps and chatter which felt like explosions in my eardrums.
