Third Emerald Threat

Raph's Pov

'Of course they have it.' I grumbled to myself as I snuck into Foot headquarters.

We had discovered that the third Emerald was here yesterday. It was carefully guarded by Foot Techies. Those buggers are hard to destroy.

"Alright, we're in position." I woulda jumped if I wern't stuck in a vent. Moon's telepathic abilities always startled me.

I opened the vent cover and silently jumped down. About twenty Techies were surrounding a red gem. I saw the others move silently into position. One nod of Leo's head sent us into battle. Amber and Mikey took on one each, since they were the least experienced. Don and Moon worked together, each fighting two. Skyla was doin' fine at the time, as were Leo and Star. A movement from the corner caught my eye. The thing had something. As it glowed, I realized what it was.

"Get down!" I charged at Skyla as the gun fired, taking the hit. Shell, that hurt! My vision grew fuzzy, and I knew what type of weapon it was...

Skyla's Pov

"Raph!" I screamed. His eyes started to close.

That pushed me over the edge. I started to change.

Amber's Pov

Uh oh. Skyla unleashed her dark side once more, eliminating the Techies. Her form didn't change.

"Oh, Chaos! She's going for us!" Star whispered

It was true. Skyla grinned sadistically at us. Naturally, we shoved the guys to the floor. Moon and I, protected by our Emeralds, began speaking.

"Skyla, you've gotta snap out of it!" Moon called

"This isn't like you! Come back to us!" I added

She chuckled darkly. "Foolish girls. You think you will be protected by those petty rocks." With a wave of her hand, my Emerald vanished. I fell to the ground and cursed.

"Leave them alone!"

I grabbed Skyla from behind and spun her around. "Sky, look at me! Don't let tha dark rule ya! Let it go!"

She snarled. "Why should I, turtle!"

"Because I love you!" I yelled.

The hedgehog blinked, and her eyes went back to normal. "W-what?"

Skyla turned to her regular form and looked at me. "Is that true, Raphael?"

I smiled. "Ya bet, Sky."
