Why Do You Care?!

Mikan's Alice

When Mikan came too, she heard beeping next to her ear. When she saw a heart monitor she realized she was in some sort of hospital room. She looked around to see if there is anyone else in the room. When she deemed it safe, she used a healing stone to quicken the healing time.

'I really hate when that happens, I need to be careful next time.' She thought to herself before the door opened. Hotaru walked in and noticed her friend was awake. She ran towards her and hugged her.

"Woah there, I'm fine Hotaru you don't need to worry," Mikan said, a little taken aback at her friend's behavior. Hotaru let go and sat on the chair next to her and held her hand.

"Mikan, you need to stop these missions and stop working for that guy, you're going to get killed one day!"

"Hotaru, you need to calm down. I've told you before, I have to do this or else bad things will happen and I can't live with that." Mikan looked down and grasped Hotaru's hand tighter. Hotaru can tell in her friends body position she doesn't want to tell her.

"Can you please tell me why you have to do this?" Hotaru looked down and sighed.

"I can't, I have to keep you safe-"

"But your safety is more important Mikan! That man will kill you! I want to prevent that," Hotaru had some tears running down her face. Mikan chuckled sadly and wiped them away.

"Hotaru, my Alice is whats going to kill me, not that man." Hotaru looked at Mikan in disbelief.

"What? That doesn't make sense, it's only Nullification. What the hell are you talking about?"

"I have another Alice Hotaru. It's called Steal/Insert. I have the ability to seal Alices and also insert them into others. I have multiple in my body." Mikan demonstrated by using fire in one hand and ice in the other.

"But my Alice type is whats killing me. It's a short life span, every time I go overboard using it, it slowly drains my lifeforce. That's why I'm always in the hospital, it was never that guy's fault. It's solely mine. I will find a way to prevent that but, we can't be too hopeful." Hotaru was in tears by this point. Mikan chuckled sadly.

"This isn't you Hotaru. You're supposed to be emotionless and beat me up." Mikan joked.

"I can't do that now that I know you're dying!" Mikan got up and hugged Hotaru tightly.

"I won't be going anywhere, not until I finish what I need to do. I promise." Mikan then got out of the bed and headed towards the door.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?!" Hotaru screamed.

"I have to check in with that guy. I promise I will be fine." Before Hotaru could say anything, Mikan was already out the door.

A/N: Hotaru only knew about the Nullification Alice and that Mikan was working for someone. She doesn't know about Persona or anything like that. She tried to put a camera on Mikan but Mikan knew and destroyed it. Anyways, I hope you  enjoyed this chapter :D
