Time's Running out!?

Entry 9

While the meeting was still going on, I kept thinking about the Umbrella Corporation although I didn't know much about it I was still a bit curious. I decided I would maybe ask some questions or maybe I should just stay to myself considering the fact I had a rude chief and he seemed a bit suspicious I mean I couldn't just come out and say hey this jackass here is behind the things that are happening, but I feel like he knows more then he's saying.  

I listen carefully to what everyone is saying I hear some saying we need to evacuate the city and some saying we need to fight but honestly I'm not sure cause no one is telling the rookies here anything. "so you seem a little lost in your thoughts you okay?" I heard the voice I've been hearing the one and only Leon "what do you think it's funny to sneak up on me or what Mr. Kennedy?" he looked a bit surprised at my comeback. Not like I was being an ass or anything, just was trying to be a bit funny but it probably didn't come off that way.

"hey you know we could explore a bit I mean not like they are telling us a whole lot anyway" I looked back at him and my eyes just sparkled it sounded so fun I mean it was boring just sitting around not getting told anything as to what's happening or even why the hell we are here." that sounds super fun than sitting around being bored and listing to everyone discuss something and we know absolutely nothing" I smiled at him and all he could do was grin cause he knew what I was saying was all true anyway. 

The room didn't fall silent but people seemed to panic a little about what I'm not sure, I could hear in the background someone saying we are running out of time. The voice of this anonymous person seemed very afraid like the gates of hell were about to open or something. I wanted to go explore and so I did I grabbed Leon's hand and drug him through the door leading to the lobby. 

"well if we are going to explore let's do this" I gave a bit of a playful smile and winked as I dashed for another set of doors little ways from the library. 

"Hey Ava wait up we have to stick together don't run so quick!" I could hear Leon shouting from behind me all I did was giggle in a way it felt like a game of cat and mouse but right now I was the mouse and I just didn't realize how much trouble I was about to be in. 

As I opened the doors the brand new doors I felt someone behind me"good lord you're quick I wish you would have waited for me" "sorry I don't wait for anyone" I chuckled as I saw him huffing.   I was honestly really excited to explore but in the back of my mind, I knew I would get into trouble. As both of us were exploring it was still in the back of my mind the chief was acting so weird. I just couldn't really grasp what the hell his problem was I mean he acted like a total ass but then again that could just be his personality.  Leon then spoke "so um what do you think is actually going on in this place" he spoke clearly and his voice was smooth like silk. I stopped dead in my tracks I wanted so bad to speak and say in a way I was scared at what was happening but in all actuality, I couldn't cause I had no clue. "I just I'm not really sure Leon but I do know the sinking feeling I have about being here isn't a good one. 

After exploring about maybe twenty minutes a cop came running in he was totally out of breath and he seemed uneasy and honestly scared out of his mind. "they are here were out of time were all gonna die." 

after hearing this my heart sunk this is the feeling I was talking about the end was here and I didn't know what I got myself into. Please be okay I thought to myself as we headed back to the front everyone was running around yelling and freaking out. Where the hell were those two when things were happening. Leon put his hand on my shoulder "everything is gonna be fine I'm here you have me no matter what partner." he said that and taking his hand off my shoulder and reaching to shake my hand. 

It was the end of something but the beginning of a new chapter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
