It was a beautiful day in July. The sun was shinning its beautiful golden rays upon the park. The birds were singing a song of joy for everyone to here. The green grass stood out from the rest of the park which was dull. The playground was rusted and the paint was slowly chipping off. But the children still loved being outside. It was a chance for them to run and be free. To escape their homes. Where they had siblings who got in their way. And parents who made them clean and do chores. But for some children this was not the case. The dull playground was just another place. No beauty. No color. No golden sun or green grass. They blocked out the song of joy that the birds were singing because they thought it was annoying. Or maybe their parents had gotten carried away talking to other parents they know. And the children were to shy to play with the other kids. Or maybe they were lost. They were playing and couldn't find their parents again. This was what happened to young Elladora Granger.
She was playing on the swings when she saw a bright blue flower in the grass. It would have been a great addition to her collection. If she was able to get to it. But before she could little Elladora ran face first into someone. He was tall and pale. And he had platinum blonde hair that almost reached his shoulders.
"Sorry" Elladora said in a small voice.
"Oh its fine dear. Now where are your parents?" the tall man asked.
Elladora looked for her mother. Hermione Granger was her name. She had bushy brown hair, long thin legs, and tan skin. She owned a small muggle book store in the outskirts of London.
"Um.. I don't see her anywhere." Elladora said. "Could you help be find her?"
"Well I would need to what she looks like." the tall man responded
"She has brown hair that fluffs up like cotton candy. Shes really tall. And she has the same skin color as me." Elladora started. But she noticed the man froze. "Are you alright sir?" she asked
"Yes in fine. I went to school with your mother." the kind sir said, "Is that her over there?" he then asked.
Elladora turned around and sure enough it was her mother. She was sitting on a bench reading one of the many books she owned.
"Yes that is her thank you so much. Come with me and you can introduce yourself" Elladora said excitedly
"I don't know if that is a great idea. You see me and your mom didn't get along very well." the man said.
"Well then now its a great time to become friends." Elladora said.
The man didn't want to fight with this little girl. She was clever just like her mother. So he chose to walk the girl back to her mom.
"Your right. And I don't want you to get lost again." the kind man said. He stood up from the kneeling position in which he was sitting in and walked the young girl over to her mother. She quickly grabbed her moms book and made the kind man sit down next to her. The kind man looked quite uncomfortable. Hermione looked up to see Elladora about 2 inches from her face. She jumped.
"Elladora dear why are you so close?" Hermione asked
"Well I was on the swings. And then I saw a beautiful blue flower which was perfect for my collection. So I got off the swing to go get it. As I was walking over I ran into this kind sir. He asked my where my parents were. I looked around and I could not find you anywhere. I told the kind man that and he asked for your name and what you look like. I said her name is Hermione Granger and then he froze. I asked him if he was alright. And he told me he went to school with you. He then saw you sitting on this bench reading your book. So he told me. And now he is sitting right next." Elladora said.
Hermione looked to her side. Sitting next to her was a tall pale man. He had blonde hair that almost reached his shoulders.
"Hermione Granger. I should have known this adorable little girl was yours." the tall man said. Hermione immediately knew who it was. Malfoy.
"Malfoy" was all Hermione could manage. Draco Malfoy. Tho boy who bullied her as a child was sitting next to her acting like a civilized human. Not like the bully he used to be.
"Granger" Malfoy replied. "I understand that you probably can't put our past behind us but I think you could at least try." Malfoy continued. "Your daughter said that now is a great time to become friends. And I think that is true. We are both 20 something adults. After the war everyone turned their backs on us. We are hated. Lies were spread. And I think you should come over to my house for dinner on Friday. Bring your little girl as she is the reason we are sitting here now." Malfoy said. He then stood up and walked away.
