Nora woke up the next morning and got ready for her trip with her dad. She got in his car and put her stuff in the back seat. They got some breakfast and drove to Florida. Throughout the drive Nora spoke to her dad. She ended up spending most of her time looking out the window and took pictures of the landscape.

When they arrived in Florida, Nora was already sleeping. Her dad parked at the house he was borrowing and opened the front door. He lifted Nora up bridal style and put her in the bed in the master bedroom. He put her bags in the master bedroom and went to the bedroom next to it. He settled in and went to sleep.

The next morning Nora woke up and saw her dad walking past. He smiled and waved at her. She got up and walked to him. He hugged her. "Mornin princess." Her dad said.

"Mornin pops. What's on the schedule for today? " Nora asked.

"I was thinking a trip to the beach after meeting with your ma. When do you wanna see her? " her dad said.

"Soon. I still gotta eat breakfast. What do ya want me to cook? " Nora said.

"Pancakes and bacon with eggs. Scrambled with onions cut up in them." Her dad said.

"Just the way you like it. Coming right up boss." Nora said. Her dad smiled and watched Nora cook breakfast. They ate the food together and Nora took a shower. She washed her hair and put it in a loose ponytail. She put on a swimsuit and a pair of sandals. She walked to her dad and he gave his nod of approval. He put on his regular clothes. They drove to a fancy house and walked to the door. Nora took a deep breath and knocked on the door. A man answered and folded his arms.

"Well its not everyday a cute girl in a swimsuit shows up at my door. What can I do for you sweetheart?" He said.

"Don't look at my daughter. Is Kayla here? Tell her Duncan is here." Her dad said.

"Oh you're Duncan. Yeah she's here but she doesn't wanna see you." He said.

"Josh who's at the door?" Kayla asked. She walked to the door and gasped. "Duncan."

"Miss me Kayla?" Duncan asked.

"I can't. Look please leave. I don't wanna start anything." Kayla said.

"Do you know why I'm here?" Duncan asked. Kayla shook her head no. She noticed Nora.

"Is it because of her?" Kayla asked.

"Yeah. That's our daughter Nora. The baby you left me with. Wondering where her mother is. Wondering why she never saw her mom. Why you left her." Duncan said. Kayla gasped and Nora looked at her.

"You? But you don't even look like me." Kayla said. Nora took her hair out of its ponytail. Kayla nodded and Josh winked at Nora.

"Who is this?" Nora asked.

"My boyfriend. He's hot isn't he?" Kayla said.

"Tell him to stop winking at me before I beat his ass." Nora said.

"Oh you have your fathers mouth. Why did I fall in love with you in the first place?" Kayla said.

"So are you gonna be my mom and be in my life or are you gonna just stay gone?" Nora asked.

"I'm cutting all ties to your father. You and I may be mother and daughter but I don't want you. Don't come back. I don't wanna see you again." Kayla said. She pulled Josh into the house and slammed the door. Nora walked back to the car and Duncan followed her.

"Nora." Duncan said. Nora looked out the window and forced herself not to cry. She watched the land as her dad drove her to Miami Beach. They walked the beach together and Nora stepped in the shore. She let the water touch her feet. "Nora that boy in class. He likes you but he's too weak for you. Make him strong and make him yours."

"Kino? Why should I? He probably hates me." Nora said. She got a text from Kino and she read it. Duncan looked over her shoulder and smirked.

"Kino "KiKi" cutie? You do like him." Duncan said.

"Fine. I think he's kinda cute but I don't have time for a relationship right now. I gotta focus on my family." Nora said.

"Last time I checked he feared you." Duncan said. Nora sighed and went back to the car.

"Let's go home pops. I don't wanna stay here." Nora said.
