Weapons are used to defend your base from the opposing attacker, at first you start of with "cannons" and "archer towers", cannons are great for point defence, and archer towers have a good range meaning they can shoot far. Later on you unlock "mortars" "wizard towers" "air defence" "hidden teslas" "x-bows" and more... Mortars and wizard towers have great splash damage meaning they can hit multiple troops at once, air defence is really good for those pesky flying troops...
