Chapter 6

(Riley's POV)

I was hang out with Randy and his friends in the seniors common room, it was a lot of fun. I was sitting on one of the desks while Randy and his Friend John where tossing back and forth a football and taunting each other. Just then a girl walked in" baby I thought you were going to meet me after my class" she said walking up to john "someone's busted" Randy said to John as he took a seat next to me

"Sorry Nikki baby I got side tracked" John said trying together back in Nikki's good books

"Well you can forget about coming over tonight" she said storming off

"Someone is really in the doghouse, you are so going to have to make it up to her bro" Randy said

"Yeah but how, you know Nikki she can hold a grudge for a long time"

" it's none of my business, but what does she like? What are her hobbies?" I asked

"Well..." John started

"Seriously you don't know any of what she likes?" I asked

"Not really" he replied

"Boy you got a lot to learn" I said and he looked down upset Bout how he was going to win his girlfriend back "ok look Nikki looks like one of the girly girl type of girls so why don't you pick her up and take her on a surprise shopping trip, and buy her a nice dress that she likes and then take her out for a meal or to the cinema, pamper her do what ever she wants, make the day all about her and you'll be out of the dog house in no time" I said

"Thanks" he said

"No problem"

" I gotta go I have a lesson to get to" he said grabbing his stuff and leaving

"Wow Riley you really know how to give advice" Randy smiled at me

After my last lesson I headed home. I dumped my bag I my room and got changed "mum I'm off to the stables" I called about to leave

"Ok have a good time" she shouted as I left

When we moved down from Georgia to Salam one of the key things was that I wanted to bring my horse Hugo with me since my dad had brought him for me. Luckily we found a stables about 10 minutes walk from the house.

I walked there through the short cut I had found so it only took me a matter of minutes to get there.

"Hey boy" I said to Hugo as I approached his stall

I gave him a treat and stroked him, I then got to work cleaning him and his stall before I then took him out in the sand school for a ride.

I must of be warming Hugo up for about 5minutes when I noticed someone watching me from the side lines of the sand school. I ignored it and continue riding getting Hugo to canter and trot. I rode past the person who was watching and that's when I noticed who it was it was Dean.

There was a jump already set up in the centre of the ring so I got Hugo to jump over it before I made my way over to Dean. I halted Hugo right outside and stayed on him,there was no way I was going to get off. "Come to make fun of a farm girl even more?" I asked him

"Nope" he said

"How did you know where to find me?" I asked

"Your mum told me you where here"

"My mum? You went over to my house?"

"Yeah look I wanted to talk to you" he told me

"What makes you think I'm going to give you the time of day?" I said about to walk off

"Wait, please just five minutes, and then I'll leave you alone" he said

"Ok, give me a second to put Hugo away in his stall" I said walking out of the sand school and dismounting Hugo near his stall. I took his tack off and gave him a pat "good boy" I said to him as I left his stall to put his tack away .

After leaving the tack room I made my way over back to the sand school where Dean was waiting.

"Ok you got 5 minutes" I told him taking my riding hat off
