A/N: GARAM is kind of a good/bad guy... Don't hate him for wanting Vengeance for both his father and mother. XXD
Garam's POV:
Dorothy led the charge to the town square surrounded by people, but the warriors quickly pushed their way, trying to give some space for Garam.
The counsellors insisted he stayed behind, but Garam strongly refused.
Only few people had their attention on the royal entourage, while the others focused their attention high above.
Were three lifeless bodies hanged. The lifeless bodies of Madam Mazney's sisters.
The knights cleared the streets, telling people to take their children inside until the bodies were taken away, and in a couple of minutes they obeyed as the streets were left empty.
Garam stood still, head looking up.
No one could guess what he was thinking. The faces of the three women were strangle pale, their eyes were open to the sky.
What seemed to be the most beautiful view today. Garam's mind was lost as he looked up and studied the sky.
A single white eagle soared through the afternoon sky. Circling again and again over the constructions.
This lone eagle was one of a kind. with every twist and turn it left a trace of its loneliness, of the sorrow deep within, a cry to not be lonely anymore, a feeling of being abandoned by its own nearest and dearest to its heart.
The white eagle searched and searched for someone to call its own, but with every flap of his wings all hope was lost and all the days of dreaming that this profound loneliness would change had suddenly turned into dust.
Nothing had changed. This eagle would still sleep another day a stranger to his own clan and wake up again alone with nothing but the sound of the soulless wind.
Garam couldn't help but offer a small prayer... to the gods of the skies.
They believed that when a life is taken under the sky, they'd find peace. He prayed for peace for Madam Mazney and her sisters.
Peace? peace they didn't deserve.
Just then, he felt a presence of someone beside him as he opened his eyes.
Turned over to see Dorothy staring upwards with something like fear and awe in his eyes.
"What have you done?" Dorothy asked quietly.
"What was needed." Garam said, sounding unburdened.
"Its wrong. You're wrong. You heard what was said in the court room, right? Madam Mazney is not the one that tried to kill your mother and without any prove you ended hers and the life of her sisters. My lord, I know you and the fire that burns in your chest for vengeance for your father, but taking innocent lives isn't the way,"
Dorothy paused, taking a deep breath,
"You know that they are warriors, men and women in the east that are willing to lay their lives to get revenge for what you did. There will be a riot and possibly an attack soon."
Garam sighed. No sign of guilt on his face.
"Then we will have them all killed" He said blankly.
Dorothy knew that his father's death had taken a big toll on him.
Ever since he was told.
Dorothy couldn't blame him, but he was going to follow him. Even if it meant giving up his own life.
The allegiance between him and Garam was thicker than blood.
"Dorothy, tell my lady I wish to see her at the garden." Garam said.
"As you wish my lord."
