Heather

The beautiful moon light peeped in through the large curtains. Peering down on Heather as she laid arms folded, looking into the seam sky.

All her life she had suffered. Begged. Craved. Hungered. But here in the palace all the memories seemed to drift away.

Maybe she was starting to forget who she was. The previous King had dragged her father's name into the mud. Even after Heathers father had worked for him all his life. King Mc.clan managed to accuse him of the Kingdoms finical theft.

He said that her father was using the empires money to food his poor family.

That day in the presence of the entire empire, King Mc.clan stripped her father of all honour.

And well, the heartbeat killed him. People knew her has the daughter of a thief. And Garam didn't even realize or know, it was his family that destroyed her life.

A few years later after her father's death, her mother died as well. Seemed like she died of the same heartbreak.

Heather grew up with her auntie who never really showed her much love. And at the age of eleven she had been bought by a brothel lord.

Stinking fat bastard. He will let anyone touch her, but he did all the touching himself.

He dishonoured the honor she barely had left. He would hit her times beyond count.

Until that knight she Pierced a sword through his heart and she smiled as she watched him fall.

Smashing his head against a floor several times and stabbing him in the eyes, even after he had died.

Then the guards run in at the loud noise, but not fast enough to catch her before she jumped out the window.

That day she had lost something. A moment of her life she couldn't ever take back. Her sanity.

She blamed Garam. Though, Garam is not his father but he had the same wickedness and evil running down his veins.

She barely noticed when the tears began to roll down her cheeks.

Garam didn't cancel the wedding, but why? It had already been a full moon. The Royals were still looking at her with that same jealousy in their eyes.

They still saw her as the queen to be. Which seemed ridiculous. Garam had allowed her to stay in the castle and even spar with the knights.

It surprised them that as a woman she was still a force to be reckoned with. Her moves, her style, they had never seen it before.

And proudly she wanted Garam to watch her beat his so called knights like she had done the day before. Her strength and aggression surprised her too.

Maybe things won't be back forever. Maybe there was still a light at the ending of the-

A loud banged at the door snapped her out of her thoughts as her heart seemed to have taken three steps ahead of her.

She yanked herself up to her fits, the herself yelp as the loud bang rang out again. She quickened her step, until she literally threw the door opened.

Her eyes had never opened so wide before in her life. Standing in front of her was the only man she had been thinking of for days.

He looked hurt. The Lord of the kingdoms! What could have happened. His hands were covered In blood but didn't seem like his. He looked disoriented.

His eyes almost rolled out of his head. She couldn't understand. Had the empire been attacked?

He rushed into the room, almost losing his step but she was there to guide him. His body was burning hurt, like he had visited the underworld.

She lasted him down on the bed, but he didn't even look conscious. At this stage she wondered how he had found her.

The chamber was almost at the far end of the palace.

What could she do?

The only thing that crossed her mind was the guards coming here to look for Garam, but then find him dead.
