4:25 pm, it was the time that the group set the cameras needed to catch footage of what happens during the night. The three of us, me; Dylan; Eric, and Madison are going to be the ones guarding tonight. Dylan and Madison guard downstairs while Eric and I guard near the office. Eric and I wait for the sun to set to start our study.
We stand in front of the office door, and the waiting started to turn awkward. I look left and right for any ghosts, and I let my ears scatter across the room for any wedding chimes. Yet, all I see is Eric's eyes peering over me like last night and the sound of my fast heart palpitations. "I'm sorry but, I don't feel comfortable when you stare at me," I said in a prudent tone. "Oh sorry, I was just observing you these past few days. I know you feel uneasy looking at this place and just by knowing the myth it's much harder to stay brave. I saw your perception of this 'haunted church'. I appreciate it even if I don't believe that this is caused by an entity. Above all of them, you're much more meticulous."
I felt special by his response; it was hard to not smile at his comment. "Thank you, I'm flattered." It was all that came out of my mouth. It got silent once again, causing him to sigh. "I know that you don't accept me as someone you'd like to admire. I certainly accept if you would only like me as a friend, I respect that. But just be aware that I will always try and protect you, through dangers inside this church." My senses got distracted until I heard the haunted wedding chimes and Madison's shriek downstairs. My hand quickly holds my mother's rosary. I heard multiple screaming from lost souls, distracting us from the silhouette of a woman around the edge of the hallway. My eyes widened and I start to grab Eric's hand towards the stairs.
"Ms. Gomez – what was it?! What did you see?" Eric asked in horror. The woman I saw started laughing convulsively in a crazy tone and started to make her own way downstairs. "An old woman, that's what Candidah saw the other night," I answered, just as we reach the altar, multiple voices are heard screaming and bloody nuns sitting in the top pews. Moonlight lit up the place so bright, and the ghosts were all so visible. Dylan and Madison are found in front of us, both their flashlights dropped. Madison holds Dylan's bible as she weeps, while Dylan tucks her in his arms. We came towards them and we both held their cold and trembling hands. The groom was present near the altar was giving creepy stares at us; all replicas of saints started to cry blood and the paintings displayed beside the altar create distorted figures.
The woman's hysterical laugh was heard once again as she appears near the choir's seats. As her figure moves closer to the replicas, paintings, and ghosts – they turn more disfigured and scary. The woman, who resembles the look of a bride, glitches and reveals many faces of hers – all looking creepy with her blood-red eyes and wide smile. The woman moves slowly as if she's getting ready to charge at us, while her head moves side to side slowly like she's looking for us in a game of hide and seek. My eyes waters and my hands and feet tremble in fear. "Dylan," Eric whispers as his voice shudders, "Get ready to run if we don't act fast she might eat us alive!" Dylan nodded and Madison whimpers loudly. Eric grabbed my hand and we ran towards the staircase. Dylan and Melissa followed behind us, as we ran upstairs. We tripped, slipped, dropped our flashlights a few times and squealed our way upstairs before arriving inside the office. Madison, Angelica, and Candidah turned on their flashlights the moment we slammed and locked the door shut and heard Madison's desperate cry for help. Fear and pity for Madison were what kept us awake all night.
