The DC Dinner went off without a hitch, everyone ate, talked with each other, and just talked. The DCEU casts mingled with the animation casts, the artists for Rebirth mingled with the DCTV casts. It was genuinely family time.
The party was also a little crazy, Katie stayed a little longer than Melissa and Stephen, dancing with Manu, Katie MG, Margot, and Carlos. And when it came time to go back to the hotel, Manu escorted her home.
"That was awesome!" Katie C laughed, cheering as they made their way into the hotel lobby.
"We have to do stuff like that more often, it was so nice to meet everyone there" He smiled.
"Right!?" Katie C laughed. She stopped when she saw Matt was in the lobby. "Matt"
"Oh, I was just waiting for you, you don't have your phone on and I couldn't tell you our room number" he said, "Hey Manu"
"Hey" Manu smiled.
"Come on, it's almost 2 am" Matt took Katie's arm and the got into the elevator, Manu behind them.
It was an awkward few seconds, than the door opened to Manu's floor. He stepped out and looked back. "Night, see you tomorrow." Anyone could say it was directed at both of them, but Katie deep down knew those few words were specifically for her as the door closed.
She looked at Matt who was watching as the level changed on the LED light. This was going to be a long night...
