::Liam's POV::
It was rather odd standing on top of a cloud, well it looked like a cloud anyway. I didn't mind that though. My mind was only set on wondering when I get to see my beautiful mate. The one that loved me no matter what. I do remember he first day I found out about mates, I was only young.
::flashback::
"Look mummy, it's a flutter-by" I giggle pointing to a couple of butterflies that were flying around each other, a sweet little coupling. My mother laughed lightly and tapped my small nose.
"Butterfly, they're called butterflies" she explained pulling me into her arms and then placing a small kiss on my cheek. I giggled and started to prance around the garden and then came across a pair of my friends: they were my age. And they were both holding each others hands and leaning into each other.
"Ew~ Jordan, she's a girl. And my friend!" I exclaim pointing to the small girl that was blushing under my scrutiny.
Next thing I know my mother has pulled me away from them and was making me sit in her lap, calming me down by stoking my hair.
"They're mates Liam. They just don't know it yet" she informed me, I then looked at her in question.
She sighed and then smiled down at me and laughed lightly.
"Mates are soul mates, the other halves to a persons soul. The only other person you will love. No werewolf knows love until they meet their mates. It is incredibly rare to be able to reject them, breaking the bond. It's one of the hardest things." She goes on getting a dreamy look in her eyes...
::flashback over::
"Wait right here" the woman's voice snapped and she left us all alone. I didn't realise that we had reached the large castle. The doers were over a hundred feet night with large knockers on them- it was massive! We were surrounded by flowers and luscious trees with fruit that looked mouth watering. I recognised this place!
Scarlett had always reviled our dreams around this area. Away from harm and civilisation, the place were all is calm and beautiful. I was truly glad and loved for this.
Emily was looking around in awe, her eyes filled with love and compassion as she watched the birds fly around together. The flowers blowing in the light breeze, and the smell. I could smell my mate- wait what!
I turned on my heel and my heart sped up.
Standing in front of me was the moon goddess- a goddess to me, even if she wasn't. My heart expanded and my wolf howled with joy seeing her again, my mate was standing in front of me. Her eyes holding love and... Uncertainty?
She was also biting her lip and not even taking a step towards me, and all I wanted to do was take her in my arms and- my thoughts halted as I looked over her body. A bump, a rather large bump. She was...was... Pregnant.
I swallowed hard and took a uncertain step towards her, and my heart broke when she stepped back one.
"Scarlett, you're..you're pregnant".....
