his pov
the inevitable has happened.
it was raining today, clouded skies and the constant patter of rain against the window helped us find comfort on one of the scariest days of the year.
scholarship day.
anyone who receives one will be given their scholarships today.
i already know im not getting one due to the fact that up until the last few months, i havent been the best student.
but she has changed that.
i dont know if shes getting a scholarship or not, but i will find out by the end of the day.
and find out i do.
after school she comes over.
i notice she looks more nervous and anxious than she ever has before.
she's bouncing her leg, and biting her nails which are nervous habits of hers.
i quickly prepare some sliced fruit and some sprite with a splash of fruit punch for her.
it's her favorite.
we are watching television and i have my arm draped around her small figure.
then she speaks.
i have to tell you something, she tells me.
immediately i'm concerned.
i only want the best for her, she deserves it.
but i'm not in love.
